Hello. My username is gamerguy2002 and I'm hoping that someone can pass this topic to a bungie representative my case is a very unusual one. If this is the wrong area please excuse my ignorance and move the topic thank you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After almost a year of hard work I've have got the Vidmaster achievements and earned my ticket for recon but i saw a flaw in all this i needed a LINKED bungie.net profile. The problem is, i can not link it at all. For as long as i can remember i haven't been able to login to xbox.com at all to get the account linked. I asked everywhere on what my problem was Ive got hundreds of solutions and all were failures. Finally I just broke down and decided to call XBL customer support. Under the case number "1131214355" they went through 2 hours of troubleshooting and finally after being bumped to the level 2 support i finally got a bottom line awnser to my troubles. ...The account was corrupt. Sortof. It seems that something happened during my registration with my gamertag that caused some break to happen between my account and xbox.com. but the break was only there the winliveID was good otherwise on other sites (windowslive.com, msn.com, etc. sites that used passport/windows live login systems and instant messenger) they told me that i would have to wait a day or 2 to get an official answer about what to do (possibly recreating my whole account). I was stoked because finally i could get recon and my problem would be solved! Today i got my awnser. XBL customer support told me their hands were tied and there wasn't anything i or they could do. they told me to just cut my losses and create and brand new account and start over again. If you ever looked at my gamertag i put ALLOT of work into it and it hurt just to tell me just to abandon the account i worked soo hard to create. I'm gamerguy2002 i don't want to be somebody else i love this account and starting over just wouldn't feel the same. The Representative was considerate though he said if anything try pleading your case on the bungie.net forums and see if theres anything they can do... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So now you know. I don't know if this will work but I'm giving anything a shot right now the last thing i really want to do is start a new account and do all this again (including getting hard achievements from other games as well). Down to the point: Is there anyway Bungie can give me the recon armor regardless if i have a linked gamertag? It would really mean allot both to me and my brother who worked just as hard as i did getting the vidmasters and every achievement on there. If theres nothing Bungie can do i understand. Right now I'm just grasping at straws I'll still be a loyal halo&bungie fan despite this situation. As for my account, I'm not sure on what to do If this last ditch effort doesn't work out. Xbox gave me a year of XBL for the trouble but they said its up to me on whether or not i want to use it on my current or a new account. If i can get recon on GG2002 then I'll keep the account and go on with my gaming and the account still works fully just the problem is I'll never access xbox.com again.
