All I have to say is that, 1: the kids were in military training uniform 2: the setting was the same place...mountains, cliffs. 3: the kids could not have been john or kelly because the spartan was master cheif, listen to the voice, and M.C. never fought on reach which is where the trained...im thinking maybe Onyx??? 4: the sheild was probably new technology...................................SWEEEEEEET!!!!! Look at the atmosphere, the memory does NOT take place on Earth. In the beginning of the trailer, there is a blue Nebula in the sky on the right. That is definite evidence that they are not on Earth. But... When John wakes up he seems to be on a different planet. Although the grass is the same, the clouds resemble the ones shown in the Halo 3 trailer earlier at E3. I think his memory takes place on Reach, as he is waking up in Africa.

I think that grenade is the secret X button function.Is it just me or has MC's voice changed? This might be before John and the spartans attack the marines but I doubt it as the spartan kids would have gotton their @$$ owned if they took on marines at that age.Cortana is saying "Cheif, leave me," so he may be going to save her.Cotarna is copying Captain Keyes line on the level "Keyes". I love the ad. One of the kids ist definitely the Master Chief. When he was bombed off the Warthog, he has those voices inside his head. He remembers the conversation about extraterrestrials, when he was a child. How could he remember, if he is not one of the 2 children?

I want to point out that Reach and Earth are of very similar or close to exact atmosphere. I think that the "Grass" on Earth (which is where the Chief gets "Knocked Out") is what probably sparks the memory of him being on "Reach" as a little boy, with this little Girl. Its just something I picked up on and i also have memories of being in places where a surrounding is familiar but really is not the "Exact" surrounding, I'm sure many of us have had these (it's called Deja Vu where you have the feeling that "I Have been here Before" but really have not been "EXACTLY THERE")....... Notice the "Body Position" of the "Boy" while talking to to the "Girl", left Arm down, Right Arm kinda Up and in a "Position" to quickly be able to plant His right Arm and "Get Up", it is the exact Position The Chief Rises in to Pick up his Helmet... I really think that that is the clear "Giveaway" that that is infact John 117 as a Boy. Watch the Fade in sequence, notice the position of the "Boy" then Notice the "Position" of the "Chief" as He Rises...... it's just too Uncanny for it not to be, i mean he can't be having a memory of someone else can he? who ever thinks that the memory take place on Earth is wrong. John never even went to Earth when he was a kid. And the girl has to be 1 of the spartans because before John was taken he was a recklass kid and i doubt that he would lay down and a conversation with a girl. And and there both wearing the suites just like phatboy said

I did say I was unsure, but I do appreciate the clarification. I did go back and read those early chapters and during the Spartan II training (prior to the Armor additions) they were still at war with insurgents, the Covenant don't start kicking butt until around 2525.

That Shield Orb that the MASTER CHIEF uses just before the Wraith Mortar hits him reminds me of the one that SPARTAN-062(MARIA) uses in the HALO GRAPHIC NOVEL(PG.60 panel 4, PG.61 panel 1). I also thought that was John as a child with a friend, and I know that people have pointed it out that it isn't kelly, and I would like to add that Kelly is taller then John, and the 2 children are somewhat the same height.

John gets taken and put into the Spartan project in 2517. I'm not sure they know of the Covenant at that point. Wasn't the Harvest colony the first to be overrun by the Covenant in 2525? Anyway, I believe the dream/disorientation in the beginning of the ad is John thinking back to his childhood before the Spartan project. The girl with him is likely a childhood friend. It can't be Kelly, because he doesn't meet her until his training starts on Reach. The Halo 3 add was great, but in typical Bungie fashion there was not much info revealed about the final chapter of the game. Keep it coming!!!

Oh I just had a revelation, it the first trailer we saw, when Cortana at the end say "This is how the world ends..." I Think it is the end of the world of Halo. This make sense, finish the fight, this is how the world ends all is here. Well just have to say it. Perhaps it is a good conclusion

Hey guys i have seen the video many few time trying to look for the weapon and when Master Chief is jumping in the group of brutes, we clearly see that he hold an Assault Riffle. Assault Riffle with an Assault on the group of brutes don't that seem logical. :D. Yeah my beautiful Assault Riffle is coming back. Love that weapon for the flood.

Ok I think I saw a thing, when Master Chief jump in the group of the brutes, look the last one in the back, he is not a brute nor an elite. He is something else, perhaps a prophet like. So if Master Chief wants to kill him, perhaps brutes will stop or he will nade them as helll. Also, I think the grenade-shield is a Forerunner things cause it doesn't have the shape of a UNSC invention. Thats my opinion. Can't stop from watching again and again the video!!!!!!!!!!

The first part with the kids, i didn't like so much it was still sweet, but whatever. THE MASTER CHIEF IS THE COOLEST EVER. Spartan armor= 10, 000,000,000$ Crazy Shield Thing = 10,000$ Assault Rifle = 3,000$ Getting hit by a couple of wraith bombs, then charging into a swarm of Brutes? Priceless.
