Halo Encyclopedia, lacking...

The Halo Encyclopedia, it is suppose to be the definitive guide of Halo information to date. Yet, it seems to simply be an expanded Game Manual to me. The book doesn't delve into anything at all. What it had for characters could hardly be called Bio's at all. Certain things that it especially missed: -Precursors (It doesn't even talk about them in the slightest.) -Vehicles (Information is 'okay', visuals is what was lacking. Several had very non-descriptive pictures; The Spectre and Doozy, didn't even have pictures) -Elites (In the Elite section there is a 'okay' bit of information and rankings, but none of the Elite Armors in Halo 3 were even mentioned.) Heretics (The Covenant Heretics from Halo 2 are hardly mentioned, and never given their own bio or visuals. Not even the Heretic Leader Sesa 'Refumee.) -Covenant (Have an overall lack of info on their Age's and history, there isn't even a listing of when the Huragok joined them) -Spartans (So many are not given descriptions, and even more are not listed. And for the ones with descriptions, they are worthless.) -Visuals (As a whole, the encyclopedia was very lacking on visuals. Rarely were there shots, and almost never full body shots, of characters, place, planets, etc.) -ILB (It talks about the Apocalypso and mentions the Spartan I's, but nothing about the events of ILB's, nor descriptions of the Spartan I's or their children. -AdjutantReflux? (Nothing of Adjunct Reflux or IRIS is mentioned or described.) -Extra? (What of the extra Halo material that not all have easy access to come across? The Cortana Letters, Early Transmissions, ILB, IRIS, Forerunner Email, Gravemind Poem, Bestiarum, Conversations from the Universe, etc. For being the 'Definitive Guide', loose things like this should be included within.) And now, with Halo: Evolutions, Halo: Reach and Halo: Legends there is even more that this "encyclopedia" is missing, it won't have anything about Nobel Team, the Jackals cousin-race Scavengers, and nothing story-wise that will be revealed by any of the three. Did DK even work with bungie on this thing or did they just copy what the manuals and Halo.wikia have(and not even an extensive copy at that)? A definitive guide is not just a sum of games and books, but a compilation of all the intricacies within. Where details that came unnoticed can be revealed. And one can get a bigger, clearer, picture of everything that is Halo. Frank O'Connor's Foreword at the beginning even says that: "And here, in these pages, we can explore that DEPTH and learn EVERYTHING there is to know about the heroes, the weapons, the conflicts, and the legends that define that universe".
