Origins 2, all is coming to pass (as I predicted ;D) [UPDATED!]

Ok *deep breaths* It seems that every thread I create requires and understanding of my other thread. Ok, for those of you who haven't seen it yet here it is Just to quickly go over the graphical aspects of it, awesome. Surpassed the last one, CGI incorporated, so all is good. Now lemme cut the crap. My heart raced when I saw the Iris. Pause at 12:13 (Which when added equals 7 btw) Now if you have read my thread, you would already be like OMG!, or maybe thats just me. But this means something substantial. 1. 343 is playing off of Iris, it wasn't a meaningless campaign, which means I am right (as always xD jk jk) to think Iris has a part to play in future Halo plots. But what is it doing in Cortanas eye? Of course if you read my thread, you know what ill probably say. Somethings piggybacking on Cortana through space.
Thanks to this slavishly loyal and humorless AI, I am now sharing cramped space with the circuitry of some hybrid war machine, itself complicated by such useless clutter as a conscience. I do not like sharing. Sharing is for children.
I have a shiver of excitement running up my leg. xD Not only tat, but what else did Origins 2 show us? I noticed in the very beginning, the Nasca lines in South America. Huge as symbols in the ground created by the natives. In theory it could only be seen by gods because there, you know, in the sky. Unfortunately for them, they didn't foresee the invention of the airplane. Don't know what it means, but whatever. Also something puzzled me. The fighting against the flood made no sense. We never fought it together with the Covenant at that scale, not even close. It also features multiple Spartans in the fighting I believe... mystery. Then theres the secrets. I mean "Secrets sense the beginning of time' seems pretty important to me. And can only logically be Precursor seeing as how there the oldest civilization we know of in Halo. It also said that some of these secrets may provoke war.
Look for the signs, the keepers of the flame. They will lead you to war, and perhaps, to victory
Iris! You have awaken! Frankie, has scored some recent points with me for Evolutions and now this obvious showing of advanced planning in plot. Also, why did Mr. Gravemind appear to give the Spartan (presumably MC) an AI chip? Discuss (Especially Iris part) EDIT/UPDATE: After finally seeing i with Frankies commentary, things actually started to make sense. Not only that, but show even more writing skill. Everything you see in Origins is based on Cortanas interpretation of events. Now there's the issue of the Forerunner. Cortana has never actually seen one, so basically that's her guessing how they looked like. That coupled with the fact she's reaching 7 years and is obviously unstable, means that we can't rely on anything[/] we see. On top of that, her whipping away the ice crystals on the Cryo pod. This goes with her possible rampancy. Cortana isn't actually whipping away the crystals, or stepping away from the pedestal for that matter. She's imagining it all. Having trouble coping with reality, wishing she was human, so she imagines herself doing all that. Cortana is basically going insane, coming up with alternate realities, imaging powers and abilities she doesn't have, etc. [Edited on 03.14.2010 3:36 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: kippa I was thinking about Origins Part II yesterday and how Cortana starts flickering and just the general nature of the entire episode. It seems sad, a lamentation. I had the sad thought that it was perhaps Cortana finally dying, leaving Master Chief in a stasis forever. When she wipes the frost from the glass, it seems like a final goodbye. That was just one thought I had about it, I was thinking of turning it into a fully fledged theory, but I'm not sure how'd I'd support it apart from the regular "smart AI's die after 7 years" and "she got a lot of extra information from Halo". I wanted to say, wouldn't Cortana realise she had taken on another AI, I imagine it would've been fairly large and noticable, even with all that Forerunner records, I would've though a shard of MB would stand out.
MB could possibly be detectable, she just can't do anything about it. Or with all the Forerunner data she has, and the little shake up she got with the Gravemind, MB could very well have infiltrated her, screwed up her systems further so she is unable to detect him, etc. That is all a possibility. "Cortana" as we know her, may fade, and be replaced by a new entity. That's where another one of my threads come in.
