Bungie Weekly Update
Short and sour this week, with some interesting snippets, but mostly stuff that will make fans of certain matchmaking playlists really angry and abusive. So to them, we apologize in advance.

If u dont want swat to go then keep posting. I think all this discussion and hate about swat being removed will convince bungie not to do it. I think they will listen to their fans.

That is fustrating that swat is being removed for Microsofts money. And the new maps will only be for 360. That [b] SUCKS [/b]. Microsoft already has enough money. they need to worry about their fans not whether or not they have an extra million dollars they they arnt gonna spend wisely. Why is the 360 so expensive its not the better then the regular xbox, i mean cordless is nice but what about those who just want to play a single game but its not for regular xbox. I wanna play halo 3 but i dont wanna spend 500 dollars jus to play the single game.

I can't believe that the Swat playlist is gone... That and Team Snipers were the only playlists me and my friends ever really played. I think it should have been kept as a ranked playlist, in my opinion. And also, how does popularity [i]not[/i] go into consideration on these changes? Obviously, if something is popular, then that's what the fans want, why change it? It seemed fine as it is. Swat is a fun and challenging gametype and should be kept for people who want those short and sweet matches. I really hope the playlist gets reimplemented into matchmaking.

Here is the question any chance that we will be seeing a "Halo 3 Edition Xbox 360" along with that ? Not just a face-plate. It would be very cool to have a clear green xbox 360 to take to lans and a friends house and brag about. Well that is my question, hope to hear "see" a reply ! And do you honestly get cheated enough to quit Halo? Besides GoW is great but I alternate between it and Halo now. Also THANK GOD! You guys didn't remove any of my favorite ranked playlists. I was terrified when you announced the removal of certain playlists. Now I furiously sweat with relief.

Finally, Team Swat is back to being a headshot practice game. Practice isn't meant to be seriously competitive, Team Training is once again back to it's place as a great training playlist. Taking out team swat also helps balance the amount of people playing the other playlists. When Team Swat went live as a playlist, soooo many people jumped on it that it took noticably longer to find a game in most other playlists. Now we can finally get on XBL, jump into a playlist, and quickly find a match again :) Sure, the change will dissapoint some, but not enough to completely get off XBL. If they do, it'll better the gaming environment anyway. [i]If you leave because Bungie takes your precious little Team Swat and [b]moves[/b] it to another playlist, your retarded.[/i] Thank you Frankie, and NinjaOnFire, and everyone else that went in to making this wonderful decsision. LOL! I love it. From the sound of comments in this thread in looks like Bungie has succeeded in giving their fans everything but what they want yet again! I also want to remind everyone that in a year from now, when Halo 3 does launch, If changes are not made to the "New Assault Rifle", it will be old due to the fact that it is a "Copied" weapon from the starting weapon in "Gears Of War"... which in a year, we would be bored of a Mid-Range "FULLY AUTOMATIC" Rifle.... WITH NO ZOOM! They may as well add a Chainsaw Bayonette to the "AR" and call it a day! A Fan...................................................................Of EPIC Games !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahahaha bungie got rid of team swat. Now i don't feel so bad that my peice of crap xbox 360 died on me, the only fun multiplayer game out there is going to hell....i thought swat was like the most played game type? Maybe it stopped being the most played game type when they made it ranked? So instead of turning it back the way it was they just kill it all together....brilliant....i wish i had such wonderful problem solving skills. but alas, it dosnt matter, my box died....

Horray! No more SWAT! i hated that 'cos whoever had host had the advantage, or if your a modder you did. Im not too happy to see Actionsack or Multi Team go, more muti-team 'cos it was always intense Also the campaign screenshot looks like the cheifs body has been rounded off with a Black&Decker power Sander which has been exposed to too much power and has been installed with Titanium paper. Also he doesnt look battle hardened or scratched. [Edited on 11/19/2006]

WTF is that !!!!!!!!! the latest halo 3 screenshot completely sucks,it doesn't even looks like a next-gen game,gears of war looks nex-gen.I thought microsoft game studios suppose to pay 20 or 30 or 40 million dollars to bungie to make halo 3.what happened?it looks completely different from what i saw in the E3 trailer.bungie promised us that we are able to play the game exactly like watching the trailer and now they gave us this.i hope it is just an early production screenshot,hopefully the final game looks exactly or better than the trailer.if the final game looks like that screenshot,i won't buy it.come on bungie,halo is always well-known for its groundbreaking visuals,please don't disappoint us [Edited on 11/19/2006]

nice update frankie i'm sure the matchmaking playlist changes are for the best. looking foward to the hi res multiplayer screens. one thing that got me thinking was if you are planning on having a retail disk of the new halo 2 multiplayer maps for those without live ? and that's quite some upper cut bender has there !,lol, another great mister chief [Edited on 11/19/2006]

Have they lost their minds?!? I play it everyday, and really don't want it disfused into another playlist where i wont be able to play it as much. All SWAT lovers should unite and revolt against bungie. That is the most ridiculous update ever. Everyine was probably expecting a release date for Halo 3 but nooo we dont get that but we get the removal of team SWAT from matchmaking. I for one am not going to be playing halo for a while and im not going to waste my money on new maps just months before the release of halo 3 (at least we hope just months before). I do not know what bungie is thing but they better get their sh@t together if they dont want Gears of war and other games to dominate Xbox live. And thats all i have to say about that.

Actionsack was my favorite unranked playlist, and now it's gone too! Damn guys, what next, you gonna take out Team Slayer? I swear i will break my halo disk. I added up all my games played, and i've played over 7000 ranked games now. So i'm probably looking at 10,000 all together. Looking forward to Halo 3 guys. My copy has been preordered and fully payed for since august of 2005 when i put in the preorder for my 360. At the time i was thinking it would be released with the 360, guess i was wrong. Anyway, goodbye SWAT, goodbye Actionsack, and i can't wait for Halo 3. I was never that into video games until i played Halo 2. I then went and bought a Xbox and Halo 2. And once i got Xbox Live my life ended. And my PS2 has gathered dust ever since.
