Happy Halo Day!
It's hard to believe that it's been five whole years since Bungie unleashed Halo on the world! To celebrate this momentous occasion we've got a few small announcements that may be of interest to fans of the series as well as a little screenshot from a game we like to call Halo 3.

I love that new Halo 3 screenshot, so High Res, You can even see the power switch for the AR's flashlight. And I love the fact you're creating new maps for Halo 2, And CANT wait for December 4th, that will be the most watched football game EVAR. Well this is truly awesome news. New Halo 2 maps? Wait a sec, Bungie said they were done. Is this conetent being created by "Hired Guns"? So many questions. So the Public Beta is being referred to "invite only" on many sites. Even the post above. Could Bungie PLEASE make a statement about that? Well Happy Halo Day. Wow! Now this is amazing! I can't believe that H:CE is five years old! (time flys eh?) I can't believe H2 has new maps on the way...I can't believe we 'll be playing H3 beta in the spring!! Here's to many more years of Bungie/Halo goodness...can you imagine the "Halo Nation" in another five years? 2007 FTW!

Sweet Update Thanks Bungie! Wow A beta I didnt know you had it in you lol. I mean I am playing a Supereme Commander Beta and Friday GC2DA Beta and in the spring Halo 3 Beta SWEET! I think it's smart for Bungie to get an outside company to do the commercial so they can keep working on the game itself. Some people have been flaming forums saying that a cgi commercial will only set the bar to high graphic wise that Bungie couldn't live up to. I, personally, believe that Bungie can atleast match what we'll see December 4th if not surpass. Bungie has always been a stickler for not putting out something, graphically wise, that they cannot live up to and I don't think that they would start now and try to over-hype graphics much like the Killzone 2 Trailer did for the PS3.

OMG, I'm so excited right now! I'm hoping to get in on this public beta, it'll be great! I guess Bungie does need help with in game bugs and glitches, and by letting other players play the beta, it'll give them a chance to look at some things differently, and there will probably be some mistakes that Bungie hasn't found yet that the public beta people will.

Good update, but I don't think you should charge anything for the new maps, I'm sure halo 3 won't be too far away when they do come out.

WHAT, new maps for the 360 ONLY???????? Bungie, please tell me you are not doing this to the members who cannot afford a 360. Halo 2 was built for the Xbox and I feel that the people who cannot dish out the money for the 360 should still be eligible for the new maps on the original Xbox. I've been a dedicated Halo fan for years, but this is a very sad announcement.
