Happy Halo Day!
It's hard to believe that it's been five whole years since Bungie unleashed Halo on the world! To celebrate this momentous occasion we've got a few small announcements that may be of interest to fans of the series as well as a little screenshot from a game we like to call Halo 3.

In honor of Halo Day, I suggest going back and playing a few levels of the original Halo. I fired it up, played Assault on the Control Room, and couldn't get enough. I had forgotten how dominating the pistol could be. Plus, you can't help but love how ridiculously awesome the soundtrack is. God bless raging guitar solos and pounding drums.

HAPPY HALO DAY!! W007!! Has anyone else noticed that both Halo games so far have been released in november? I'm betting same goes for Halo 3. I'm really looking forward to the trailer, and seeing as I do watch MNF, I'll be really happy! I just gotta make sure i get that night off work... So yeah, thank you very much Bungie for this delicious slice of information, and thank you SO MUCH for that new awesome hi-res photo of the chief!!!

wait... how does that work? if the halo 2 maps only come out for 360... does that mean all the people stuck with an original xbox can't play matchmaking?? if so, isn't that kind of unfair to the consumers who can't purchase a 360 for the many different reasons?

i understand what is happening with the halo 2 maps only on the 360. The marketplace doesnt use the same format as the original xbox. Microsoft has moved on, and it would be difficult to monitor the maps release on both marketplaces. the 360 has been out for a year now, xbox is beginning to make a transition. fewer xbox orignal games are coming out. such a thing as new maps for an old title is a sweet deal, and only makes sense to put it on marketplace. once you get one youll see. its a different selling format. they dont use the old setup anymore for selling maps.

First of all Happy Halo Day!!!!!!!!!!!! evreyone second of all I thought the info was great not to siked about the screen shot Ive seen the masterchief plenty of times Ialredy know what he looks like byt the way to anyboby trying to find something bad about this update please dont we all know what were all going to do when HALO 3 comes out were all going to get our fat lazy behinds and were going to stand or campout in front of our nearest gamestop or eb games and wait there for our own copy of halo.No matter what the final product will be awsome.Cant wait to get it. Great, I wish I hadn't read that. Don't get me wrong, I love everything that update had to say, just now I gotta wait until Spring to get the new maps. Also, I will not be able to play Halo 3 beta, because I don't have a 360. :'(
