The Floodiad- Part 12

I've finished yet another part of my poem, which is below. Enjoy! Those who are just now discovering this can find the previous parts in the Flood library sticky. Blimper led his soldiers onward Into the New Flood lines. This would be the first step toward Vengeance for the Trolls' crimes. The fighting drowned his soldiers' cries, Nor could they feel the quake. So Blimper took them by surprise, And their lines he did break. McGee'd feared this would come to pass, But he could not prepare He knew he'd not withstand this mass, This fight no longer fair. He sent a cry throughout the ranks To regroup at the walls. He needed to strengthen the flanks, Lest his army should fall. Blimper stood in his army's path And would not give his ground. One sole way to evade his wrath, To halt this trait'rous hound. A general would be sacrificed To secure the retreat; To grab them from this deadly vice And save them from defeat. Count Peter was the one he chose To give away his life. He'd best defend against the blows And save them from this strife. Peter was sure he would not fall, And turned to face his foe. Certain that he could take them all, Their strength he did not know. The first wave hit with all its force, But like a wall he stood. The Old were halted in their course, But were not stopped for good. Count Peter held the Old at bay, His armor red with blood. So McGee's army fled away From the incoming flood. Blimper called out to his soldiers To regroup at his side So he alone could face Peter And not let McGee hide. The sun shone down upon the field, Nowhere a shadow lay. A shine came from the blood now spilled On this the second day. Count Peter raised his sword and shield, And Blimper raised his spear. Neither this battle would they yield. They readied without fear. Blimper drove his chariot forward To strike his mighty foe. Peter prepared to swing his sword To deal a deadly blow. But Blimper's aim was always true. As his spear pierced the air, This single warrior of the New Had never had a prayer. The tip struck through Count Peter's skull, His blood sprayed to the ground. And as he fell his eyes went dull, Fell with a sickly sound. Though Peter now had breathed his last, His purpose had been served. McGee's army had made it past; The New had been preserved. Blimper looked upon Peter's corpse, Then turned toward McGee. This death would cause him no remorse, This was as it must be. This battle halted for a duel Would now begin anew. The ground shone red as though a jewel, The sky a brilliant blue.
Harlow has created an account on NF, but he only posted a couple of times. Rhea, to my knowledge, has never made an account on NF. The same goes for both Lt. Sartor and Guscon, again, to the best of my knowledge.
Maybe I read it wrong considering it is late at night here, but it seems I was fighting for new flood...
New and Old are concepts, not actual entities. If you were to visit NF, you'd probably notice that most of the people at this point who fight for the Old are regular members there. People were chosen via their join date, not their membership in a particular group.
