This website is starting to hurt my eyes.

Browser: Chrome Headache Inducing Issue; When clicking links to jump to new pages, my screen flashes white. Started happening about a month ago... Didn't think anything of it. Call me crazy, but I don't remember this happening in the past. And this isn't something that happens every single time. I can't give you a ratio, but every once in a while the screen does indeed stay black when going to a new page. Anyone seeing this? Any way to fix it? I hope this doesn't turn out to be another quote button thread

 • No issues from IE 10 or Firefox 17 here. Maybe it's not the site, but rather the browser. [Edited on 12.11.2012 1:26 PM PST]

 • I've been doing research and you're not the only person who experiences these white flashes when opening tabs or browsing sites with dark backgrounds. There seems to be no specific answer on how to fix it though. EDIT: Found a site with what looks like a reputable fix for now. The same people who tell me that IE is a piece of crap are the same ones that tell me to switch to IE when I hit a roadblock on the information super-highway.

I just block most cookies to other sites and opt-out of personalized ads and stuff.

Sometimes you HAVE to use IE. :'(

 • None. I have since softened my stance. Chrome's problems are now mostly policy/legal, not technical. I still don't like its minimialist UI, though, and I prefer Firefox's debugging capabilities, despite its slower Javascript engine. For regular non-work browsing, I tend to use IE 9, mostly because it is fast and I feel like Chrome is spying on me. And Chrome was never the worst browser ever. That title has always been held by all IE versions below 9. They suck, and nobody should use them. • I used to be a die-hard chromie, I still like it, but after using firefox for some months it's starting to grow on me. It's non-glitchy, private, and clean cut.

 • Actually, I've been meaning to post about an issue similar to this. The site's background doesn't render correctly under Android 4.1.2's stock browser. The page will render correctly initially, but as soon as you scroll the background breaks. The nebula patterns stay in their correct positions and appear to move correctly, but the block background they actually appear over does not. It stays in place until you've stopped scrolling, at which point it will sometimes (but not all the time) snap back into place. This leaves you with a white background with an incorrectly placed black stripe in the wrong place. A fairly minor issue most of the time; the real problem arises when you start to post. Every time you type a character, the background images throw a -blam!- fit and jump all over the place, causing the browser to throw all sorts of wobblers and forcing you to basically type into the text box without seeing what it is you're typing.

 • I never use chrome so I've never had that issue. I use firefox and I hardly ever get any issues with it.
Posted by: Achronos None. I have since softened my stance.
Dammit..... [Edited on 12.11.2012 3:15 PM PST]

 • That's good to know that my browser isn't totally hated by the sites webmaster; I was afeared you may exact your hatred by means of not optimizing the site to work on Chrome in some way, shape, or form. Also, I notice you're a double spacer. I'm assuming this is as close to a confirmation as any to other double spacers that it might be "allowed" in Bungie.next.
