Was just surfing through videos on the eve of finals and found this!

It is a video by DARPA, and it shows their new experimental medical device which is awfully reminiscent of ODST!
Enjoy!

That's actually really cool. Thanks for sharing.

That is awesome. I wonder how long it will take us to have many of the technologies we see in the Halo universe.

eh i guess this could be part of the bungie universe since the government is ripping off something bungie made... (this seems to be happening alot now-a days like the Quadrotor from cod BO 2, the government openly acknowledged that that they got the idea of making a prototype from watching the trailers for the game.) edit: to ward off confusion infinity ward made the quadrotor not the government, the government saw the game and said "hey why dont we have one of those?" and now there researching into it. DARPA's been taking the advice of science fiction authors for quite some time. Ever since Reagan's Star Wars defense grid, actually. Army of one? Straight from Starship Troopers. Awesome stuff.

I just hope some poor pilot doesn't have the endure the scene from Iron Man 2. Or that if he does he survives like the guy in the movie.
-
I think we sucessfully trolled that video with our top comment there...

I always find it interesting how science fiction becomes reality. This is an interesting video OP. Thank you for sharing.

Even though it would patch me up I would rather not be in the receiving end of BioFoam. Apparently it stings like hell.
