We barely know what DeeJ and Urk do.
Either he is toying with us or something is going down. What else besides cater to us does DeeJ actually do for a living? Does he have some other duty besides catering to us that we were not told about? Is he a recruiter? Is he actually an engineer moonlighting as the Assistant Community Manager? Dear God... is he secretly Foman?!?!?
DeeJ writes two or so articles a week and posts some threads, that's about all we know. (Unless I missed something) We already lost Urk to this great mystery (I suspect he isn't alive, and a bot now controls his account). Surely writing two articles and making a few threads a week can take up all the working hours of two guys.
What in the Holy Fudge Nickels are DeeJ and Urk doing?!

Also, how do we know YOUR not an alt of DeeJ? If my research is correct, and I'm sure it is, DeeJ accounts for 42% of all active users. Accounting Foman as an alt, and factoring in his alts, the number is much higher. I believe it to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 58%. You also mustn't forget to factor in Community alts, or the Achronos rule, that we are all his alts. Once you factor it correctly, it looks something like this: [DJ(.42)(1+(Fm*.16)-Fm)]+(Mem.(.32)(Alt*.1)=Achronos(1)

TL;DR: The things we see Deej being involved with as Community Manager take up quite a bit more time than we might estimate. With the weekly panels to Bungie employees, I'd imagine it's quite a bit of work to round them up, go through the responses, and choose which ones to show. Not to mention the amount of effort it would take to read through 8-9 pages of questions and select the best ones. The interview is likely to be much longer than is made visible to us, with either uncomfortable or il-fitting content being removed during the editing process. I could easily see each of these taking a full day. I'm sure many BNet regulars know just how much time it's possible to spend here, and that being part of their jobs means they're on this forum for large chunks of their work days. So what's left? Planning community events like Bungie Day, coordinating Alpha / Beta testing efforts, managing Bungie's social presence online.

DeeJ and Urk are two of Bungie's alpha AI's. They aren't capable of much right now, but hopefully 4 or 5 iterations down the line they'll be able to expand their capabilities. At least that's my theory.
