Just going to throw this out there

If you still cheat in Halo 3 you need to reevaluate your life. I just started playing Halo 3 again 2-3 days ago after not playing since march and I've gotten cheated 5 or 6 times in the probably 15 games I've played.
It's just beyond pathetic. I mean, cheating in video games in general is pathetic but this game is over 5 years old, 2 new versions of Halo have been out, and kids are still cheating because they desperately want to get 50s.
If you still cheat in Halo 3 you need to reevaluate your life.

Just saw my stepson bail on a 4 multiplayer game the other night. "Hacked - no such weapons allowed..." Really ? If you can hack these things, why not hack into a crooked lawyer's website and post about how he rips people off...Do something useful with your skills, people. (!) Purpose.

ansac, DDoSing is what he was talking about. Generally when someone gets cheated in Halo 3, it's network manipulation. JTags seem to be getting back online again, so game modding is occurring, but the usual cheating is standbying, host booting or DDoSing.

I agree. The people who cheat ruin the H3 experience for themselves and others; which is especially annoying for a game whose days are numbered. However I am curious. When you say that you were 'cheated' in the game, what type of cheating did you face. Aimbots? Rapid fire controller? Just asking because I thought it was near impossible to sneak in one of those pesky devices, and if so, I haven't really encountered them.

I went into team slayer and a deranker on my team host booted me because I was getting so many kills... He got on the mic and said "You're really good where are you from?" I said "Seattle" He said, "K, got it" and i was then host booted from the game.
