Xbox 360 Controller
Does anyone know how to hook up an Xbox 360 controller and play Halo Combat Evolved with it?
I tried changing the controls in the game settings but that didn't work.
I need help.

Make sure you have the correct drivers for the controller (Windows should get them automatically). Then add it to the controller options on your profile under gamepads if memory serves and save. Then it's a matter of setting up the controls yourself. You won't be able to get it exactly like the Xbox but it's pretty close. Occasionally however, the axis' may act up on either SP or MP, i can't remember which one. -
I tried what the article said, but my "Gamepads" section wont work, I can't even select it. It might help to know that I have Windows 7, if that makes a difference.

What kind of Xbox 360 controller are you using? Wired or wireless?

Wireless with a Plug-and-Play adapter. The computer recodnizes it, just not the game.

With the cord. :/[/quote] Well, there's your problem. See, the only thing that cord is for is charging the battery pack. The controller still communicates wirelessly. You need to grab a receiver.
