so we all know there are ALOT of modders ins Halo 3 but i dont think anything is being done about them. i have not herd about any banning or even suspensions since Bungie owned Halo 3. Any ideas or stories? It appears 343i just stopped caring...
Posted by: A Pimpin Lady
That's because you aren't supposed to be able to get them. They're hidden behind the blocked off area. Load up the old Grifball Foundry Grifball maps then delete the crates. There should be a turret hidden in/behind them. A modder would do more than mod himself a gun.

I can't say that I believe you. I played thousands of grifball games. and I only saw one person with a turret.
Posted by: Mythical Wolf
Posted by: A Pimpin Lady
Not a modder. There's hidden weapons on the old grifball Foundry maps.
I've seen one true modder in Halo 3. It was a few years ago. I was playing Grifball, and he somehow pulled out a TURRET. Let's just say that it was a slaughter...
Posted by: Old Papa Rich In 5000 games I've never seen any modding. And if I've ever been booted, I don't remember. Of course they might have said why bother and just beat me legitmately.
Booting only really happens at 50 high; you won't see it much below that, and even then it's rare. I can't check your stats obviously, but if you weren't running at 50 high you won't see it. Another reason Social is better these days.

I haven't played quite as many matches as Meaggs or Gaped, but I also have a 50 and have no clue what you're talking about. Like I said before, I've never encountered a modder in-game. Host booting happens occasionally at 50 high, especially to me because my internet is so slow, but it's not "modding". Unless you can provide some specific examples, I'm not sure what you're on about. [Edited on 10.17.2012 6:27 AM PDT]

LOL Really man? Like meaggs, i have also played a lot of MM, 13k plus games of it and have come across only 2 modders. I've been host booted a lot but that's about it. And when bungie was in control of halo 3 the banhammer was in full effect and people were getting banned left and right for cheating

I have played near 7000 games of MM, in that time I have matched only 3 modders. I have been cheated hundreds of times by Ddosers, true, but that almost never happens lower than 50 high. Why do you think they were modding, and what proof do you have? [Edited on 10.16.2012 4:15 PM PDT]

I have never encountered a modder in Halo 3. Even when it was in its prime. The fact of the matter is that once a modder is encountered (which is very rare) they'll have enough complaints filed against them to fill up a hypermarket and then that account, and most likely that Xbox, shall be banned.
-
Since when are there a lot of modders? The only time I've EVER seen one on Halo 3 is recently in the video Colossal lDave linked; and that was only for a few short weeks. Not too sure what you're talking about here.
-
There is none. If you do find someone using modifications in matchmaking then file a complaint then move on. That's all you can do and should do.
