[Idea] New Canaan

After the Human-Covenant War, the UNSC insisted that the Separatist Elites hand over a few planets to compensate for the planets lost int he war. The Elites were smart, and handed over their semi-colonized and non-colonized planets. One of these planets, renamed "New Canaan", was quickly colonized by the UNSC and other organizations. But, this planet had some secrets that the Elites hid from the UNSC. This planet was home to both Loyalist Covenant and Feral/Uncivilized Sangheli groups, and many other dangers. But there are great and expensive resources on the planet. These resources would make New Canaan prosper. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm still working ont he main story. What do you all think?

 • Maybe... the Separatists are having a hard time fighting the Loyalists, so they give it to UNSC. It's more along the lines of "it's not our problem anymore" kinda deal. Sorta like how America took over the Vietnam War from France. [Edited on 10.11.2012 5:41 PM PDT]

 • Why not hand over a colony to the UNSC laden with Flood spores?

 •
Posted by: DJ Yella
Posted by: TheSpiderChief I think I can see one flaw with this: Why haven't the Separatists done anything about the Loyalists on the planet? If they know that they are there (as they "owned" the planet) then why haven't they gone to the planet and done something about it after the Human-Covenant War?
Uh... IT was an uncolonized planet. The Loyalists used that "they won't find us in their own backyard" thinking.
I think it would be better for the story line if they just did it for teh lulz. That way the humans had someone to fight and they didn't have to worry about the other sangheili.
