AC3 DLC - george washington becomes evil king of america

the DLC is set in an alternative reality where after america gains it's independance, george washington takes advantage of the power he has and becomes king of america, and an evil king to boot. as Connor you must work to take back america's freedom once again from the oppressive king of america. FOX news is going to have a field day. • Yes. He did. After his first term he didn't even want to be president anymore but he did so anyway because people demanded it. It doesn't make sense for his character to do this and you're right about that. Alexander Hamilton should have overthrown him or something. Or Benedict Arnold. [Edited on 10.03.2012 6:43 PM PDT]

Those are the coolest minigames in the history of gaming because of how they expand the universe. • I think it's retarded, I'd much rather a single campaign with add-ons, not a weird alternate thing separate from the campaign that has no relevance.

Not trying to discredit your opinion, but it's just an interesting piece of information that makes sense within the DLC's canon (or lack thereof).
What game was it that showed that, or was it the company? I haven't played the last AC game that came out or the handheld games so I don't know. I'm just upset that one of my favorite figures is going to be put into a bad light that is the opposite of his beliefs. Oh well, I'll live with it.
Remember those glyph puzzles you did in AC2 and Brotherhood? Those are the coolest minigames in the history of gaming because of how they expand the universe. •
Posted by: Lil Taco 117
Posted by: DarkJet7 They should've been doing alternate history from the start, i mean how cool would it be to play a game where you go back in time fixing history, battling in the greatest wars, trying to outwit and persuade important people, witnessing the changes you've made in the world, and subtly teaching people a bit of history.
So, Time Squad: The Game. I am not opposed to this,
• This seems like a strange move given that they usually try to stay as historically accurate as possible, but I'll give it a try when it's released.

 •
Posted by: Xplode441
Posted by: theHurtfulTurkey
Posted by: Xplode441 I don't like this. I understand that it's an alternate reality, but it completely goes against what Washington stood for. I would have preferred if someone else maybe killed Washington and took power.
I agreed with this sentiment until Garland pointed out that his corruption is probably due to a Piece of Eden, rather than just his own character (which history already proves to be fairly scrupulous).
I still would prefer if someone else was corrupted by the apple and killed Washington to become ruler. I have mixed feelings about this.
Before anything was even known about AC3, it was canonically established that Washington was in possession of an Apple. • Not sure how I feel about this. I hope this is an Undead Nightmare type thing that's not canon, and just for teh lulz. Still excited for this game and can't wait to play it. But $30 for DLC is kinda ridiculous.
