The Most Significant Battle in History
What do you think is the most significant battle in history? It doesn't have to be set in fact in a history book, this is about your opinion and no one elses.
Alternatively if you don't have an idea of the most significant, what is your favorite battle to study if you have any?
I cant put it down to a single battle, so in my opinion the Eastern Front during World War 2 was the most significant.

Oh and for Britain, I've forgotten the name of the Battle, but it was a (relatively) small British fleet vs the Entire spanish Armada. We had no real army then so if we lost that battle, we would have lost England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

The battle between Earth and the outside forces that threatened to disfigure/destroy it. Seriously, this planet is perfect for a life and that's a thin line to dance. Too hot, too cold, too much oxygen, too little Nitrogen, any of this (and hundreds of other aspects) out of line and we're all dead. If Earth lost that battle we'd all be dead. :)

Canada was not a country at the time, only a colony, so I don't count them as a faction, only an extension of the British Empire. Not saying I dislike Canada, just going by history.[/quote]Fair enough. While people who were "Canadian" (people born and raised there) did fight at the time, the majority of the fighting was done by Britain.

It was between Constantine and some rival forces (not sure of they're name) Its that battle that pretty much started the conversion of the Roman Empire into Christianity. [/quote][/quote] Its fine :D
