Should there be another Expansion game? Like ODST, personally I thought that was quite good. If Bungie or 343i ever has the spare time, maybe after Halo 4 even as they'll be raking in the money for a long time. I'd like to see another story emerge, something that doesn't included the role of a Spartan. Playing as a Marine would be awesome!
Any ideas?

All good thoughts and opinions. Personally, I'd still love to see a game that would involve Marines directly. Like front-line battles, the plot wouldn't be to complex unless they were dealing with Insurrectionists. But they should have a Marine squad, like BFBC2, a friendship like squad. So if one of them died, it would make things more personal etc. You could see the war from a Marine's perspective so on so fourth. You expand upon loads. [Edited on 10.09.2012 8:39 AM PDT]

Halo: SPACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Take command of a originally smaller vessel, to eventually become Admiral and command a super carrier. Covenant Campaign in space, too.

I'd like to see the REAL "Fall of Reach". You know, where there are more than 1 squad of Spartans in the whole game. Reference to Halo: Reach obviously. I'd like to see Spartans fighting like the marines do, front lines, all out battle.

Gimme a Halo at the formation of the Covenant. The prophets and Elites were at war. And put in some other important events in as well, Grunt rebellion, taming of the hunters, stuff like that. Maybe a series of campaigns set in each conflict, seeing as they're in different time periods.
Posted by: ajw34307 But I'd be all for another hub-style Halo game.
Like ODST but with verticality (sewers and rooftops). That would interest me a lot. EDIT: Maybe that's how a Forerunner game should be handled? Instead of flashbacks, thre hub-worlds (Ex: Marontik, Capitol, random).
Posted by: the real Janaka But how would the ODST/s get out of there? Another game that ends with complete death? Maybe he/she/team joins forces with the Elites about 80% in, about the same time Rtas takes back the carrier? The other big question is what the game actually is about, behind the simple premise of playing as an ODST. ODST ended up being about Virgil, what core would this have?
Agreed, another ODST hub-style game would be difficult to pull off without it having the same impact and substance as the original. But I'd be all for another hub-style Halo game.

They're making that...It's called spartan ops.
Posted by: mercenary335 I dislike the idea of attaching "expansion" to ODST at all, can we just agree that it is a real, whole game. It even has multiplayer, kinda. Having said that I would love to see another game like ODST, one that tells a story that is important to the lore but hasn't been shone in game yet. I suggest the events of First Strike. Unfortunately I don't think 343 has the balls to do something like that so I doubt we will ever see it.
ODST was an expansion. Hence the title Halo 3:ODST. But it was good enough in my book to be a full game. But opinions aside. It was an expansion first. I've learnt from Reach that no-one, NO-ONE [Maybe Valve or the people responsible for Black Mesa] should follow the story of a novel in a video-game. Too many things get changed around, you eventually get a different interpretation that is based loosely on the original source. Very few people in the industry have the talent to follow through something ambitious and in-depth like that. It all starts with actually reading the book. But thats a rare feat in this industry. To reach Step one that is.

I'd love to see another ODST game but I doubt it will happen

Id love to see like a DLC where it goes right back to the beginning of the spartans. Like the beginning of Fall of Reach when the spartans were just kids. I think that would be an amazing expansion. Instead of the war with the covenant and flood to see how all the spartans were in the beginning. Please 343 make this DLC!!!

I'd love a Halo game set in the forerunner-flood war
