Post War Concerns
Imagine that you are a member of a species that fought in the Human-Covenant war. Now imagine that in the wake of this war, each species has some sort of council. For Humans this would probably be the UEG or UNSC/ONI. For the Sangheili it would be all the Kaidons. For the other species, just pretend.
As a member of that species' council what are your concerns about the future? What would you try and do to ease these problems? Do you think their would be opposition? Do you still serve the Covenant? If so, what do you think about the Prophets' disappearance? If not, do you wish to destroy the humans?

Are you talking about the Human/Covenant War derived from the Halo Clans or from the actual Halo story itself?

I'd imagine that most of the Covenant species and their Councils would retreat back to their own planets and plot revenge or conjure up some other dastardly plan until another Galaxy wide event occurs. But for the sake of fighting the Covenant as that's all the Halo gamers have ever know, I'd like to see the remnants of the Covenant Empire reappear. Although there is the Storm in Halo 4.
