It's really rare for me to create a thread, I'm more of a lurker/commenter. When I do make a thread I always put a lot of time and thought into it, and I make sure there is definite discussion potential. So, most of my threads I make have become hot topics but there's now way I could guess how many that is.
-
Only one. I was asking the community how long they have been members at this website.
-
About 4 or 5. Most of them were about death and violence. The Flood loves death and violence.
-
Not too many. I don't remember.
-
Sadly, I don't recall creating even one hot topic. [Edited on 10.11.2012 8:26 AM PDT]

I lost count, but they were fun.

I've made three: A Bungie member at my apartments Old Bnet survey report thread Soffish

I've made several, although it does not really matter. What matters is whether or not the goal of your topic is achieved. If you want information about why the website is acting a certain way, that thread might only last two or three responses, but your goal may be realized. All that is needed to make a hot topic is a generic thread that creates dozens of one sentence answers, and if your objective is to get a wide-spread view of the community, then that is fine, but to equate responses to thread quality is, at best, fallacious.
-
2 3 if i am lucky. my topics seem to die fast and i dont make new threads all that often anyway.
Posted by: Make117 Maybe 4 or 5. Funny how I got a warning for one of them because "new threads should promote discussion". I don't get the logic sometimes..
Normally hot topics have great discussion value - why else would a good number of people post in there? It's k though, I don't understand that logic either.
-
I don't keep track.

Just counted, I made 8 hot topics since this post. :D
-
I don't normally make threads, but I would have to say maybe 2-3?
-
Over 200. Biggest are both TFT atm [Edited on 08.20.2012 9:14 AM PDT]

6 or 7
-
0. Can I count how many hot topics I've posted in instead? That number is much higher than 0...
Posted by: Duck duck DEATH
DDD for mod.
-
Only a few that I can recall... One of which was focused on which TV show network you watched as a kid (CN, Nick, Disney, etc).
-
Posted by: spartan120 About three or four. I can't remember what they were about though.
This. I had a thread on Waypoint that went to eleven pages until it got locked by snicker crap mod. It was about MLG.
-
Lol, I could see that. "OMG, OMG, 49 replies... 50 replies.... *Gets locked*... DAMN IT!"
Posted by: Arbiter 739 I have never witnessed ANY of my own threads go Hot Topic. It drives me nuts sometimes.
How fitting. The foolish resort to ignorance. Mr Kurokawa your topic is a hot topic. You have cleverly achieved the success you surveyed of others. I myself have made many a hot topic, but never in a manner such as this. While members seemed prime to share their achievements, be they links, names, or numbers, very few chose to discuss the achievements of the others posting in the thread. I ask, is it bragging, to post your success and care not for the success of others? Additionally, is it ignorant to respond to a perfectly valid argument with the incorrect label of 'off-topic'? You created this thread, and like those posted here, you must maintain and defend it. If we are to be proud of our successful threads, we must be able to justify our success. If you cannot do that, then your posts are as ignorant as this thread is full of gloating. :edit: Forgive this edit but I feel there is something I am clearly missing. How is posting about a hot topic thread in a thread designated for discussing hot topic threads exactly "off-topic"? [Edited on 08.19.2012 11:07 PM PDT]
