Ok, so here's how it goes. My uncle handed me tonight a bill from a foreign country, and asked me if I could find out where it was from and what it was worth. I am having no luck with this
So I'm turning to you. Here's what it looks like: front - back
Most of the writing is in cryllic, but it does have english alphabet letters. On the front it says at the top "NARODNA BANKA JUGOSLAVIJE" and under the big 5000 it says "DINARA".
On the back, near the top, it says "JUGOSLAVIJA" again, and under the 5000 it says "PET HILJADA DINARA".
If you can identify this bill, and possibly tell me it's worth in American dollars, if you know, then I'd be extremely grateful.

The -blam!- is that?

I'm going to guess Croatia.
It is from Bosnia & Herzegovina, a country which gained independency from the former Yugoslavian Republic in 1992 and started to issue their own currency from then. Based on the high price inflation rate the country had a monetary reform in 1998 and is using "mark" and "feninga" today as you are using dollar and cent. Your 5000 dinar bill is worthless, sorry.
Also the country no longer exists. [Edited on 08.11.2012 11:51 PM PDT]

Well we can kick Canada off the list because we know they use monopoly money... we are making some progress...

Yugoslavia. Pronounce Jugoslavija out and you get ju-go-sla-v-a.
Posted by: BananaHalla "JUGOSLAVIJA"

Posted by: BananaHalla "DINARA".
What the other guy said, but anyone could tell where it's from and what it is just from this.

It's 5000 Yugoslavian Dinara from the early 90's. I'd say specifically from 1992. [Edited on 08.12.2012 12:13 AM PDT]
