If you don't agree to donate organs, should you be able to receive?
I just saw this on the ad for Can of Worms. I think I agree that it's a bit hypocritical if people believe they should be eligible for organ transplants but aren't a donor.

I wish I could chooses who can and cannot receive my organs, but I'm still giving them away, they're no good to me when I'm decomposing.

It's a choice. If I choose not to donate my organs, that's fine. If someone chooses to donate their organs, and they happen to go to someone who isn't a donor, that's fine too. Because they CHOSE to donate them. It shouldn't matter if the person receiving organs is a donor or not.

You can do a living transplant either way.

People who die of old age do not usually have their organs removed and given to other people.

I wouldn't really object. Exclusion from organ transplant, if you yourself aren't a registered donor? Makes sense I guess. Unless the patient has the money to pay cash for the entire operation, sans insurance (then by all means give him the organ), I don't think I'd object to this if it was a law.
