Is anyone still a loyal fan to bungie. Is anyone even upset that 343 Industries took over.

That's not particularly a sign of loyalty. You need to understand that Bungie doesn't want to do Halo anymore, and you need to have the courage to sit back and see what they come up with when they release their next game. [Edited on 07.30.2012 10:07 PM PDT]

There are MANY people who are still fans of Bungie. Just take a look around. Personally i'm not upset at all that 343 assumed the mantle, Bungie's time with Halo is over, and it will be nice to see what they have to offer next.
Posted by: BWO BIG PUN Is anyone still a loyal fan to bungie.
I'm on thier gaming website without a game to discuss. I say that's pretty loyal.
Is anyone even upset that 343 Industries took over.
Not at all. Halo will live on without Bungie. I just want to see what Bungie has in store for us.

Do you actually think Bungie will make a new game?
Posted by: BWO BIG PUN Do you actually think Bungie will make a new game?
... We all know for a fact that they're working on it right now. That's why we're waiting mate.

You make it sound as if Bungie and 343i are in the middle of a civil war. 343i never took anything over, they were handed the rights to make Halo, and that is all. Also, you can be both a fan of Bungie, "loyal" or not, and a fan of 343i. The two companies aren't enemies; in fact, I would go as far as saying they probably have a very friendly relationship.

I'm excited to see where 343i is taking Halo, while a t the same time I'm eagerly anticipating what Bungie has in store.

Well 343i has been part of Bungie since the beginning but, I am asking if anyone cares that the Halo title was handed over

We can't love Halo and Bungie at the same time..? Damn...I didn't know that.
Posted by: BWO BIG PUN Well 343i has been part of Bungie since the beginning
What? No.
Posted by: BWO BIG PUN Well 343i has been part of Bungie since the beginning
False.
but, I am asking if anyone cares that the Halo title was handed over
Lots of people do.

Anything that Activision touches turns to crap. With Bungie's influence, they could make a good game but, if it is a shooter there might be a problem.

Something like that, I think... :D What I mean is that you cannot review a game that is yet to exist. [Edited on 07.30.2012 10:30 PM PDT]

This is never gonna end. I believe some of the Loyal Bungie fans moved on with Halo just as Bungie did, and there are others who are still Bungie loyal fans but also remain fans of Halo. We are sad that Halo is no longer managed by Bungie, but it's time to move on with the new universe. [Edited on 07.30.2012 10:35 PM PDT]

Loyalty to Bungie shouldn't be contingent upon their ties to the Halo franchise, since they have so much history before Halo existed. Unless I've misunderstood your point. Me, although I jumped on the Bungie bandwagon because of Halo, I discovered both the older games (Marathon in particular has captured my adoration) and the community, which I (mostly) enjoy. So, I guess that's what my loyalty ties to. Am I upset about 343? No. Halo had more than run its course under Bungie's supervision. And while I do think the amount to which they are planning to milk the franchise is excessive, I'd rather they, in lieu of Bungie, go all Simpsons on us.

I sense the taint of stupid in this thread. Loyalty is sticking with Bungie through think and thin and supporting them the in the best possible way...No, that doesn't mean you need to shell out cash for every little thing Bungie sells. [Edited on 07.30.2012 11:38 PM PDT]

Upset that 343i took over Halo? Hardly. Bungie's time for Halo has come and gone. It's time for a new world, a new adventure, and a new hero. Master Chief and the Halo universe are in good hands. The good people at 343i have done an outstanding job in keeping Halo safe and ever expanding. Think back 12 or 13 years ago. Where were you? How old were you? That's when Bungie began working on Halo. That's a very long time. And it would be grueling to work on the same thing for that amount of time. As Halo and Bungie part ways, I now get to follow two very exciting endeavors. I'll continue to be an avid fan of Halo, but it's only fair that I give it's original makers another shot. If Bungie disappoints, I'll leave. If they don't, then the next decade will be a very bright one.

I'm not really 'loyal' in the sense that I'll buy their next game without checking if it's any good or not. But I do like them as a company.

I'm completely loyal. But to who?
