Forum Troubles
Apparently, the story starts with the Webmaster and some bees. I won't bore you with the details, but let's just say there is honey and tequila everywhere, and the database that houses the forums seems to have taken a beating. Corrupted caches, indexes, and something about a curse... according to the Webmaster, anyway. I wasn't really listening - he was rather drunk. At least we got a new letters page out of it. Or, well, we did after some well placed kicks...
Anyway, the point of this is that we're working on the issues, and we have a fix currently being tested. Since the fix is so substantial, though, we're going to be testing it over the weekend. We'll get it posted to the live forums by Tuesday of next week. There will probably be a short downtime early Tuesday morning.

No no, don't tell me, that would actually be the worst thing you could do for me. I've had a great time searching source and .gif image text files etc, and I'm having a blast making axons hot. I'm really hoping the end of the road is as much phun as the road itself, but for now, I'm happily walking along, tending my bees. Thanks guys!

Oh, and by the way (putting this here as it's most likely only to be seen by actual Bungie employees if it's at the beginning of a post like this) [b]thank you[/b]. If you are in charge of this whole ILB thing, then thank you for a brilliant game and phun story. If you are not in charge, then thank you for creating such a well crafted "universe" in which a story like this could be told. And no matter what, thank you for putting up with all of us that are so involved in this and flooding your forums to death. I hope we haven't caused too many hours of extra work for you. For me, this easily makes up for the Mt. Dew contest debacle (or goat rodeo as it was so aptly described). Thanks for all the hard hours of work. I hope that you are all well compensated for it (and not only in the adoration of millions of fans ;)
