What song speaks to you?

This song does Off With Her Head Lyrics: I'm lucky if I ever see the light of day again My skin is choking me, my feeble walls are closing in This cell is filled with scholars easing me, they're teasing me They told me so I didn't know the fall would be this easy How long until it starts to do me in I can't give out what I'm not breathing in I know they'll come with what I'm owed, guilty as charged My enemies belittle me reminding me the penalty of all my deeds despite my pleas is death Don't let go 'cause I don't wanna be this, I don't wanna be this Death is mine I know Don't let go, don't let go Save your own 'cause I don't wanna be this, I don't wanna be this Death is mine I know Don't let go, don't let go, savior Your way to life has only showed me what a fool I am It serves the purpose of confirming I remain condemned And I will ever linger on the edge Unless you hear me [Edited on 06.20.2012 2:36 PM PDT]

 • Hoodoo - Muse, also the entirety of Phantom on the Horizon. It's a very strong allegory for the troubles of young life.

It's a fascinating commentary on how diverse humans can be in what they hold dear. Some people are extremely patriotic and fiercely defend their country and all it stands for. Others - like me - see it as a piece of land they happened to be born on. Some live in abject poverty and desperately want to escape their country to try and lead a better life elsewhere. We can also derive from this a commentary on the diversity of humanity in the simple line "SO LICK MY BUTT AND SUCK ON MY BALLS!". Different humans have different feelings towards these acts. The process of reproduction is a constant throughout humanity. Though from this, many different "branches" were created ultimately leading to acts like the aforementioned. And different people would have varying levels of enjoyment of this. Some shudder at the thought. Some are excited by the thought. Some are indifferent. Some have untapped emotions regarding this. But there's an underlying act that spawned all acts such as these. It still functions as it always has, but it has evolved into something so diverse. Much like humanity. Much like tables.

 •
Posted by: KopAddict0307 This. It speaks to me on so many levels. Particularly on a level of superficiality. In the grand scheme of things, I may figuratively be a table. But there are many types of tables. Different materials used to make them; different styles; different sizes. Some tables serve different purposes to others and tables have varying degrees of significance. For instance, the coffee table I have at home is just used to put read newspapers and magazines on, and often to rest a beverage container. It isn't a place of congregation like a dinner table. The coffee table is just sort of, there. Nobody really pays it conscious attention; it just exists and does it's job. It holds no real significance. Unlike aforementioned dinner table, which hold significance in terms of congregation, gatherings. I eat my Christmas dinner at the dinner table. An annual gathering at which more meticulously-prepared food is dined on, is eaten at the dinner table, yet the coffee table is buried underneath all the torn-open wrapping paper. Whilst we as people do not appreciate the coffee table, there is about 8 or 9 kittens that are just starting to run around. They look at that very coffee table that is so unassuming to us human beings, and they see so much more. They see a wealth of opportunities for fun. They see much more than us. That, for me, is how this song defines the human experience. Look around us, and you'll see vast cities full of tall buildings, long, winding roads, automobiles. Look up and you may see an aeroplane, effortlessly carrying a group of people through the sky to their destination. We've built such wonders in this civilisation. We, as humans, have achieved previously-unimaginable things. When we see something as simple and unassuming as a coffee table, we see a few pieces of wood - probably with a few Tea stains on it - that largely goes unnoticed. Something we might toss a used newspaper onto. But something as simple-minded as a fledgling feline sees so much more. That is how us sentient beings compare to tables. We have spent so much more resources, time, and brain-power creating things that aren't even half as useful as a table. Tables are vast in variety. They serve different uses. But those seen as simple and unnoticeable, are often the ones that impact our lives on a more quantitative basis than things that we think we care more about. How does Kim Kardashian affect our lives? Barely. She's just on the T.V every 3 times we look at it. Achieving fame for barely anything at all. She is not a coffee table. She isn't even a dinner table. She's the glass table out in my back yard that never gets used. It's just there and nobody knows why. The coffee tables are the really valuable people. (My hands hurt)
Your post gave me kittens.
