It's a shame when teen drivers die.

It really is. I know this one girl who killed two of her friends from an accident. Her life will never be the same. It really is a shame.

 • It's a shame when people don't drive properly and end up causing accidents.

 •
Posted by: A Good Troll
Posted by: cameo_cream They deserve it for speeding all the time and showing off. What, did they think that nothing would happen if they went 80 around a 60 corner on a wet day?
If you can't take a 60 mph corner at 80mph, even on a wet day, you're just retarded anyway. Even in POS econoboxes like a Camry you can take most turns at double the advised speed limit if you have one iota of common sense. I spent my high school years at the track and street racing - none of my friends who did so died. The people that died were the people who didn't. Personally, I think if everyone was mandated to do some track time, they might not make stupid mistakes like over correcting if they run off a road and hitting a tree.
Sadly, no matter how much training, dumb people are still dumb. It still frightens me to remember my Secondary school compatriots, plenty of whom had no idea (nor desire to know) what ABS meant or did, what a blind spot is... or a clutch :[ (despite all of us having to do a defensive driving course during school)

 • I don't think teenagers shouldn't be driving anyways. Of course that argument is becoming rather moot nowadays because a lot of adults are driving just as bad. Seriously, I think texting was invented to speed up natural selection. [Edited on 05.28.2012 5:14 AM PDT]

 • Most of the time it's their own fault though, so I rarely have sympathy for them.

 •
Posted by: funkbrotha10 15 year olds shouldn't be driving. I think 18 should be the minimum age.
It is not the age that makes the problem, more so than the lack of driving experience that makes them a worse driver in general.

 • Its a shame when ANYONE under the age of 30 dies or even close to it,one of my best friends passed away at 33, he went to play golf with r friends every sunday like he always did and left complaining of chest pains. Not an hour later he was found dead by his father of a heart attack at his home. He left behind a fiance and a 4 month old girl, not to mention all his friends. Such a tragedy.

 •
Posted by: stephenrg0228 It happens, sometimes it's the drivers fault sometimes it's the other drivers fault. It just depends, you can't say oh teens usually don't pay attention an all that... Your just basically signaling people out.
Statistically teens die more in crashes, says my insurance company. I'm singling anyone out, just pointing out that its a serious problem.

I'm sick to death of seeing reports of teens speeding/drink-driving resulting in them dying. Nothing will deter them from being an idiot, and they're putting others at risk.

 •
Posted by: DarkONI Well all the news about teens crashing whilst being drunk has convinced me otherwise, plus the local news, about three or four students from my old high school died.
Posted by: Sandtrap They think they can still manage it. Not the case sadly.

I doubt it could be much more than that. Unless others were involved, "convincing" them to drive, I don't see what else it could be, well, of course other than just being stupid, which kind of relates back to what I said before.

 • A year ago a fellow I knew who was a grade higher than I was crashed when he was drunk. My cousin's boyfriend was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. A teenager that comes into my cafe who is in 9th grade was diagnosed with Leukemia recently. Another fellow I know lost his friend in the passenger seat from an accident when their van rolled. I can't even count how many elderly people I know that passed away this winter. Living in a small town sucks sometimes.
