(If I'm using improper terminology by using 'flash games' in the title, please let me know.)
Be honest, if Bungie.net offered another pastime other than the forums, would you ever leave this site? I feel like such a feature would be amazing for community retention during down times in between games, such as the period we're experiencing right now.
I don't mean anything big; just something like a text-based game like Pandemic or Project Terra, a game where users could interact in leader boards and such. (Something other than message boards.) The slight amount of competition offered by said games could fuel conversation and interaction on the forums enough to keep things active in between games.
With that being said, I'm no programmer; I have no idea if this would be feasible on the coding side. I think that possibly making it a feature for Bungie Pro subscribers would add incentive for Bungie to implement it, thus making it doable from a business perspective.
Anyway, in a ideal world where this would be technologically doable, would it be a feature you would like?

That actually doesn't sound that bad. [Edited on 05.01.2012 2:35 PM PDT]

Nah. I come here for the discussion and spend too much time doing that anyway.
-
Also, and although I think it goes without saying, the theme of these games would be tied in with Bungie lore and/or the new IP. Hell, it could be used as a medium for a viral marketing campaign for the new IP. [Edited on 05.01.2012 2:37 PM PDT]

As long as it's as in depth and entrancing as Supply Depot 2, I'm in.

MUDD. I'd never leave.
Posted by: squeak52 As long as it's as in depth and entrancing as Supply Depot 2
If Bungie is under pressure to be making these flash games to a high standard, more time and design would have to be done. Time which could be used to keep working on their new developments. Seriously, there's enough here to keep us content in my eyes. Not that it wouldn't be cool or I doubt they could manage it, but I reckon they have more important things to attend to. [Edited on 05.01.2012 2:43 PM PDT]

You really don't remember the few times that this had popped - up way back when? Hylebos is too "new" to remember such things, so he's automatically forgiven. OT: Multi-Player Gnop! or bust!!!

Start up a bungie.net bbs and put a bungie themed legend of the red dragon on it. I'd play.

We'll blame every repeat thread we see on you from now on.

Anywho, I'm all for Burrito's BUNGLE Bash being the greatest flashgame ever. Make the explosion hit the other explosion to explode the explode-able thing.

I guess I would like the feature, but I wouldn't leave the forums for it. [Edited on 05.01.2012 4:05 PM PDT]

We already have a community game. Pimps at Sea.

I actually really like this idea. Something cute and simple to keep the fans drooling. Possibly even game hints within the flash games.
-
I would love a simple flash game that somehow tied into other games by Bungie. I wouldn't want them to divert time from The Next Big Thing, but it would be nice to see eventually. Proposal: I understand that the Bungie Community (us), love video games. I also understand that there are members of the community who are currently taking classes in flash animation and game development and design. Wouldn't it be possible to make this a community collaboration (provided we get the proper licensing and all that jazz)? Thoughts? [Edited on 05.01.2012 5:19 PM PDT]

I'd like if we had our own Soffish that we had to feed everyday to keep alive. And we could do mini-games with our Soffish to unlock accessories for the aquarium.
-
Flash games? Ew, no thanks.
-
That would be nice.

I'd like to see their next game as a pc game (even though we all know it will be on the ps3), with direct links to and from bungie.net, so they could truly combine their game and communtiy seamlessly. Think about it, talking with your buddies, click a button, playing a game with your buddies. Playing a game with your buddies, click a button, surfing the forums with your buddies. Depending on the type of game their doing, they're doing, this could be the perfect way to implement a clan system. So long as it's not a flash game. [Edited on 05.01.2012 8:40 PM PDT]

Flash games are lame. Why not batman games?
