It's a pain in the toodles. Today I went to GameStop to buy AC: Brotherhood. They didn't have new copies of them so I bought a used one. What do you know, it doesn't even work. I take it back to get another one. Well isn't that beautiful it doesn't work either! To the man who gave GameStop a terrible AC:Brotherhood disc.... I hope you step on a lego.

I buy most of games used from GameStop. If there's a game that I want used but it's still out of my price range, I'll go to Glyde.
-
I always trade in my broken games to them MW2, Blops. By broken i mean gameplay not disc.
Posted by: ninjadude132 no tax and free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime.
I think it depends on your location/billing address Cause I ordered a few games from Amazon in NY address and they charged me taxes, however back in VA they didn't charge me any..
-
That's why I buy my games off amazon. The games are sometimes cheaper, no tax and free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime.
-
I sold gamestop an old Fallout Disc with multiple scratches and even a crack in the center of the disc, I was quite surprised to actually see them accept it...
-
If none of them work maybe its your console that is broken?

I can honestly say I've never had a problem with used discs. And even if I were to have one, they have a defective disc return policy.
Posted by: DOINKEN Am I the only one who visually checks the disk myself before completing the transaction?
probably, because you're very rarely gonna come across a used game that isnt scratched/scratched badly [Edited on 04.30.2012 6:38 AM PDT]

Solution 1: Don't buy any games from Gamestop
-
They do, I traded in 20 something games to them (got a bit over 200 dollars) and had to wait for them to check them all, they put it in and makes sure they load up and everything. OT: Only had 1 problem and I simply returned it.
Posted by: Dark Tornado7 Gamestop don't make sure that they work? That's bad.
-
Solution: Do not buy games.
-
Just bad luck OP, every used game I have ever picked up from them works just fine.
-
Build a relationship with the people who work there.....it helps.
Posted by: Captianize
Posted by: bloodpixel Well, all of my used games work.
You are very lucky then, every time I buy a used game I get screwed over....
bought Halo 3, Brink and Fable 2 all in perfect condition used.
Posted by: Captianize I hope you step on a lego.
No man deserves to suffer that amount of pain.
-
Are you sure it isn't your Xbox?
-
Just keep trading it in until you get a good copy. I never got a faulty disk, other than Deus Ex. And if they don't have another used copy, just buy a new copy. No big deal.
-
It may just be yours. I have been satisfied with the used game quality.
