Vidmaster classic doesn't work for me, any suggestions.
So guys, I'm kind of a completionist and I've decided to get every achievement in any Halo game. I've just finished anneversary and now I've set my mind to ODST.
Obviously I thought I'd get the vidmaster challenge classic, in wich no shots should be fired or either grenades thrown. I decided uplift reserve would be the best shot getting this achievement fast.
After a few agonizing moments I managed to make it through the entire mission, not a single shot fired, not a single grenade thrown, yet the achievement didn't pop.
Wtf? I never shot any weapon, never threw a grenade, I did it solo, on legendary, on xboxlive, and I even managed to do it without reverting to last checkpoint.
Please help this is very annoying, I want that achievement, I should have got it, but it didn't pop I'm frustrated.

It is possible that you could have fired a shot by accident while driving the ghost. You also could have fired a few shots while walking off the beach at the beginning, without realizing it. P.S. My group could definitly help you out with your achievment hunting. We designate ourselves to helping people get as much Halo 3 Gamerscore as possible! He's right, keep your fingers off both R/L triggers... Honking the horn/braking while driving the hog or boosting a ghost will kill the achievement. I gave the Laser to the passenger to help clear the way. I have this achievement film in my fileshare. bungie.net/stats/halo3/default.aspx?player=LateMinotaur051 [Edited on 04.25.2012 2:20 PM PDT]

I disagree.... I attempted the mission on a ghost, and boosted through the difficult sections. I didn't get the achievement. So, I read the section on Vidmaster Achievements in the book "Prima Official Game Guide for Halo ODST". On page 312, it says: "Notes: You can attempt this on any level, but Mission 03: Uplift Reserve" is the easiest by far. Simply obtain a Warthog at the start of the mission, and allow the UNSC Marines to board your vehicle and do the fighting for you. Retreat whenever your stamina is compromised; this allows you to rest until it is restored. Note that "shots fired" also includes e-braking (whether into foes or not) and honking your horn, so refrain from these actions, too."
