Most of the kids at my school that wear anything related to gaming like a Halo hoodie or a Left 4 Dead t-shirt get talked down on. Most of them are kind of weird or no one really knows them so that doesn't help the image. I don't care for it but I would never wear anything game related like a Mass Effect hoodie or anything at all.
The only exception to gaming related clothes I would wear is a plain black t shirt with a Gears of War omen on it. Not because I like the game but because I like how it looks it seems to be my style and since my friends aren't hardcore gamers and the only game big in between them is Gears of War they would think it's pretty cool / not care.
Honestly I know most people don't care what other people think of them so I understand if I was into game clothing I wouldn't care about people laughing behind my back as long as I was happy.
So what do you think?
Is it begging to be laughed at?
Is it just something no one would care about?
Is it something people give compliments on?

I will never purchase video game clothing, or wear them.
-
I have tons of mixed views on it...
-
I once wore a CoD MW3 t-shirt the day of BF3 release and I was flamed and praised fore it by all the nerds. Most awkward day of my life...
-
Lol videogame clothing... Wouldn't wear it under any condition.
-
anybody remember the pikachu backpacks back in the day? [Edited on 04.28.2012 1:42 PM PDT]

I wear Halo/Bungie stuff.
-
I have a N7 hoodie which is the -blam!-.
-
I've an AC2 shirt and recieve naught but praise for it.
-
Clothes are clothes.
-
Well you see that's ok.
-
Woah no way.
-
I have an N7 hoodie and Halo shirt. I've never been treated any differently when wearing either. No offense, but I would have to be very self-conscious to care about people who would call me a "nerd" or otherwise.
-
The only game shirt I wear is my N7 shirt, but I mostly wear band shirts.
-
I'm a huge fan of minimalist designs, so I love gaming clothes that to the untrained eye, look like just a normal shirt with a design, but to a fan of that show/game they'll recognize it. Example: Blue Sun shirt from Firefly And some of the Superintendent/Bungie shirts. I can't wait for the Destiny Logo shirts to come out. I'd never wear something with a huge logo or something like that regardless of what it was. They're uncomfortable usually.
Posted by: turtlefacejones It's a way people can express what their hobbies are I guess. No one complains when a girl advertises Holister on her Butt and Tits though, and they call wearing videogame shirts weird.
That's different dude...

Remember getting a Halo reach T-shirt with a book or something and i didnt care wearing that. Dont get why people have to take the mic. I generally just dont give a Blam

Well I have only gotten compliments for my Assassin's Creed shirt, but it's probably 'cos it looks cool more than they know what it is.
-
I don't care that much.
Posted by: loiter squad Most of them are kind of weird or no one really knows them so that doesn't help the image.
This is probably the main reason, their clothes are probably just another excuse to insult them. I've never been made fun of for wearing gaming clothes, in fact people usually tell me "Hey! Nice shirt!". [Edited on 04.09.2012 7:58 AM PDT]

I have my Reach t-shirt.
-
I have a vintage space invaders jumper that I wear. Nothing else.
-
I have a CoD4 tshirt I usually wear when I work out. I don't get made fun of for wearing it and people usually comment good things on it.
-
I think it's kind of stupid wearing them in public. You pretty much a walking advertisment. That, and people will look down on you.
-
I don't see anything wrong with them. I often wear my Lost Planet 2 VS shirt when relaxing at home. However i can't comment on wearing them to school considering as in England most schools wear school uniforms.
