Basically I was playing Halo 1 PC and I was playing fine for a while and then the screen went black and the gathering exception data error message came up, but that wasn't the strange part.
What happened while the gathering exception data error message appeared a browser window opened up on its own and went to my Xfire profile page. I didn't OPEN that web browser. So I quickly closed the browser page.
I'm wondering if Xfire crashed Halo 1 PC. Is that possible? I mean it sure seemed like it.
Has this happened to anyone else? It was kind of creepy.

Probably accidentally hit a shortcut combination.

Xfire is the work of the devil and must be purged by windows uninstaller.
Posted by: SpaceCade7 Xfire is the work of the devil and must be purged by windows uninstaller.
I never understood the hate for Xfire... Could someone please give me a solid reason you hate it/why you hate people who use it? OT: I think Btcc22 is right. This often happens with me on other games.
Posted by: Btcc22 Probably accidentally hit a shortcut combination.
What Xfire shortcut combination is that? I mean I got the "gathering exception data" error message so I don't think it was a shortcut combination. But, please, correct me if I'm wrong because I have no ideas.
