• lol - bungie hate Microsoft. Even after Microsoft made them a household name bungie went and took a dump on them. Even with bungies next title (if they ever get it finished) they went the no xbox road ... like WTF, anyone who cuts of sales in attemp to spite someone (who probably doesnt care anyway) has REAL issues. Plus ... the engine CSP if based in does not support WinPhone. Supports PC (ie windows), but like Android bungie is holding back the release in that market. [Edit]: Ok, been PM'ed to show favour to bungie ... so here goes. Can understand why bungie dislike their old boss, after all if I ever got told my lifes work was being taken away [no going into why - avoid negatives] and given to the younger guy, and that I had to serve notice but after that I was out ... yeah, kinda see why I wouldnt spend money helping port the the bosses products. (jeez, that was HARD ... do I get an 'Honourable Member' tag now :) [Edited on 02.01.2012 4:01 AM PST]

So Microsoft made the xbox successful - end story. bungie existed as a independant entity pre-2000 and then again post 2007. Pre-2000 they mad a few low selling titles (ironically the biggest is now be used more as an open-source project). And since 2007 what have they done?? Crimson - pleeze. How is that 5 years work?!? bungie was an unknown. Microsoft brought them, and via Microsofts Game Studios and xbox made them into a public brand (ironically bungie dont allow Hairbrainded Schemes to keep their name in CSP - go figure). bungie will never fund a wp7 port effort. CSP runs on MSWindows, videos and commentary on the moai site showing this ... but will bungie allow it to be published, or will they use their power over the developer to restrict possible markets?

Halo did just that, and defined many fps aspects that are seen in every fps now (hell, even h3 did that, as soon as bungie did double xp weekends, cod started doing it). Many of xbox live's key features were created by Bungie in halo 2 (including inviting friends to your game, and voice messages) before Microsoft implemented them at all. And Bungie did not create Crimson, not sure why you listed that unless you are hugely mis-informed. [Edited on 02.11.2012 11:56 PM PST]

If it had all failed it would have been 'Microsofts failed attempt', plus given Microsoft owned the product, paid the wages ... kinda think they can now take the credit. To do other wise is just cheap.
Posted by: i can has drugz And Bungie did not create Crimson, not sure why you listed that unless you are hugely mis-informed.
Ok, will take it slow. Reference was in relation to what bungie have accomplished since 2007 when Microsoft cut them loose ... thats 5 years of effort. All that bungie have to show is this failed attempt at playing publisher. Apple does more to market the game than bungie. Quick example, platform support, bungie dont mention OS support nor iPad, but Apple state both. I can already here the reply 'What does a small thing like that matter?'. Well it appears to cause confusion for the moderators of this very site. Even a half-arsed publisher would have put some good ole PR out there in December, a lead into the holiday game season. How many bungie issued press releases do we see in December ... none - lol.

 • iPhone has a way bigger market and customer base, it would have been stupid to make a game for wp7 instead of the iPhone.

But given the games engine already runs on Windows and Android (check out videos of CSP running in these environemts on the moai site) ... why dont bungie allow it to be released. guessing there is enough market share available between those two? Why would a publisher restrict its clients products??

 • Keep on asking ... perhaps even go for a Win8 metro version, wp7 may not be around given the current platform release schedule.
