Is this worth it?
I recently got an iPod Touch and, as I understand it, I can get this game on it.
But is it worth it?

The only "wasted lives" are the poor bungie staffers, the "company" is happy in its $$ ... whereas the developers get to see their lifes effort given away over a dummy spit. At least the Hairbrained Schemes team got out after only the one game ... they moved on quick (I guess a favour only goes so far).

The crimson forums was meant to be a new start, bungies new game of being a publisher (ok, not much happening in the usual role of publisher, but hey). Sure the ONE developer they had sign up would have expected more ... ironically bungie did more pushing their own game when they were NOT a publisher - news posts, market appearences, public sessions. I know its not their game, but it was bungies call to start playing in this role. And most people put the extra effort in once [b]they say[/b] that they will support another person. Perhaps thats just my view of the world.

Looks like the forums have changed quite a bit from back in early 2000. The mods used to comment and explain things quite a lot. I guess they got jaded from all of the trolls and noobs.

Like a dead man dying, wondering if his life efforts amount to nil All bungie have left is this [cough] [i]publisher[/i] role. And yet, as you pointed out, they appear to lack any basic ability to communicate to the base ... no boosting of positive community posts ... no "[i]News and Reviews[/i]" ... no "[i]Forum Feedback[/i]" ... no involvement other than to ban and lock threads. If I was Hairbrained Schemes (CSP developers) I would be worried. If I was a potiential developer - I would run.

"[i]worth the buck[/i]" ... two actually :) But yeah, same price point as most mobile apps (other than free). What is missing is the social aspect of the game ... the pass-and-play even which lets friends try and beat your score. Mobile apps are about a social connection. CSP is more like a browser/flash app - cheap and played alone. It is also much about doing the same thing over-and-over ... and again this works if you are going for a high score, but CSP doesnt have that.

Its boring, slow, and kinda the same-old-same on each level. Ok ... maybe a bit harsh for something that only took 12 weeks to make, but hey thats the way it is. Why did bungie take the free trial version away? Guess no one was buying the full product after tasting the trial.

Hello Lady Snipershot, I would say everyone has different taste, is this game the next Skyrim? Surely not, but for an iPod/iPad/whatever game it is really fun and a nice time burner. I'd say try it out, you may like it. :-)

Never mess with a classic).[/quote]lol, that was the result of typing fast on an iPod Touch. i didn't mind a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved but there's no denying giving it a damn map pack for lolreach instead the orginal Halo experience with revamped graphics was one of the [b]biggest letdowns of 2011[/b], almost as disappointing as Halo 3's campaign [Edited on 01.06.2012 8:39 PM PST]
