Proof that 2 + 2 = 5

Start with: -20 = -20 Which is the same as: 16-36 = 25-45 Which can also be expressed as: (2+2) 2 (9 X (2+2) = 52) 9 X 5 Add 81/4 to both sides: (2+2) 2 (9 X (2+2) + 81/4 = 52) 9 X 5 + 81/4 Rearrange the terms: ({2+2}) 9/2) 2 = (5-9/2) 2 Ergo: 2+2 - 9/2 = 5 Hence: 2 + 2 = 5 This was calculated in Gaelic BTW. PROOF: As everyone knows lamps emit LIGHT Now what is a chimp but a LIGHTER (less heavy) version of a gorilla?

 •
Posted by: DrFetusFondler What an excellent rebuttal, it seems as if you have realized you have made a boo-boo and can't accept it. So instead of accepting that your explanation to the practicality of "2+2=5" is in fact wrong, you avoid the question by posting an unrelated and topic-changing picture. Well played.
No, I haven't made a "boo-boo" And wont accept it, its just that the thread has sort of leaned more on the jokes side. Then you got back on the mathematical matter. Its about 4 am for me so I rather be joking around than talking about math right now [Edited on 09.02.2011 1:48 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: DrFetusFondler You seem to be arguing with many of these Forum-goers about whether or not your mathematical equation is correct. I'm not saying you are wrong nor am I saying your a right, I am simply stating that you showed no work and in many, if not all, mathematicians eyes, your answer would be considered incorrect. This is not a matter of opinion but of sheer fact. So in FACT your explanation (your equation) to whether or not 2 plus 2 equals 5 is wrong.
This
