some suggestions to fix the Plasma Rifle and some close range weps

I know there's a lot of people saying to nerf/ remove the Br to balance the game, but I think buffing some weapons like the plasma rifle into better mid-range weapons would be a better solution. What they should do is make the Pr's projectiles faster and more accurate. The shots shouldn't be accurate all the time though. Like the other games, the gun's accuracy should drop with prolonged firing, but not too quickly. Also they should increase the damage of the gun so it would be able to kill on it's own without melee. For head shots, maybe the gun should be able to do a little bit extra damage (not much), but definitely give head shots from this gun the ability to stun people. To balance this out, Remove the ability to dual wield the gun. Also the Pr should have a disadvantage to the Br at mid-long range. for the smg, they could increase the effective range a bit, but not make it mid range. a little bit more damage with head shots could help as well. for the spiker, if the gun is even going to be in this game, they could increase the ricochet ability of the bullets and bullet speed and maybe give it more damage with headshots. I'm not sure if the gun is even in reach because I never read the books ^^;. The shot gun could also use a buff in range The Ar could use a buff as well, but that's been covered by a lot of people already. [Edited on 07.21.2009 8:04 AM PDT]

  • Assault Rifle -- magazine size between H1 and H3 ARs. Slower rate of fire. Same damage as H1 AR on bodyshots, 200% damage bonus for headshots. Accurate as H1 AR in full-auto, accurate as H3 BR if pulsed, accurate as H2 BR if single-shot. Though as accurate as the BRs, it would kill much slower (BR kills in 4 shots, AR in about 10 if all landed on the head). Spiker -- make it similar to the AR/PR, with a much slower ROF, less ammo/magazine, and more power per shot. Close (auto) to Medium (single shot) range weapon. Could nail corpses to the wall. Plasma Rifle -- same as in Halo 1, but with stun only on headshots. Close (auto) to Medium (single shot) range weapon. SMG -- either remove it, or make it similar to an Uzi to differentiate it from the AR (single-weildable SMG is very close to an AR, as seen in Halo 3 ODST). Silenced. Close range weapon. Plasma Pistol -- same as in Halo 1, but with stun only on headshots. Also the EMP and battery drain from H3 would be present. Close (auto) range weapon. Shotgun -- make like Halo 1, but with a slower rate of fire and only 6 rounds/magazine. Close range weapon with ability to de-scope at midrange. Mauler -- remove it, or increase the ROF drastically to make it more unique to the Shotgun, though it would have very little range. [Edited on 07.21.2009 6:19 PM PDT]
