Bungie Points: Digital currency for Bungie.net downloadable content

I think Bungie should create their own form of digital currency, or Bungie Points if you will. Bungie could charge Bungie Points for content offered on Bungie.net for prices that deceive members into thinking they are getting a good deal. We could buy these Bungie Points using credit cards in increments of 400 Bungie Points for $5, to 4,000 Bungie Points for $50. We could then redeem these Bungie Points for content sold at odd prices that will leave us with some random amount of Bungie Points that isn't significant enough to purchase anything else. We will then want to add more Bungie Points, but we can't add only the amount of Bungie Points we need, so we have to spend more money and have too many Bungie Points for the content we intend to purchase. This will leave us with another odd amount of Bungie Points with which we can purchase nothing, and the cycle repeats. We'll start to see phishing accounts set up to advertise "1600 Bungie Points Can Be Yours Free," and folks will offer to "Boost Your Account to Exalted Mythic for 800 Bungie Points." I can imagine no better system for currency exchange. I don't know where I got the idea, but any organization that would implement a system like this really cares about quality customer service, and would never be secretly plotting to rip off as many loyal customers as possible. The profit gained by implementing this deceitful system of trade could certainly help the Bungie crew on their way to world domination, but last I checked they hadn't yet formed an evil corporation the likes of which would go through with such a system.
That nav bar could use a bit of a shine. And that search bar looks a tad dusty.
You two are on to something with that.
Posted by: furiocity Why not also include Bungie Pro subscription cards as well, they would come in 1 month, 3 month, and 12 month increments. They would also force the user to pay an extra fee to use the internet, which they already pay for. It's brilliant!
Posted by: canman88 I would've spent 100 Bungie Points just to post in this thread.

I'd subscribe, I'm on Bungie.net participating in discussions far more often than playing games on Xbox Live. It's highly unlikely we'd start to get charged for the Bungie.net experience as we know it. Essentially, the benefits justify the cost.
Posted by: Vinnie13 I see you've been to the Microsoft school of marketing, congratulations on graduating with honours!
Who is Microsoft? I never said anything about them. :P
Posted by: TOM T 117 Like shares? We could play the stock market on bungie.net!
In which forum would you invest to get the greatest return? Is it public or private? Is the Halo 3 Forum trending up or down in today's Bungie Points market?
