What is the CANON explanation to Sgt. Johnson's Survival?
I've always been curious. First Strike mentions his "Boren's Syndrome" saved him from infection, but I heard that the Halo Graphic Novel was monitored by Bungie in it's creation.
So what is it? Did his condition save him? Or did he escape heroicly?

Supposedly he's an ORION Spartan or Spartan I basically. Though this hasn't been totally verified. (At least not from what I've seen) So his skills are alot more likely his reason for escape.
