I was thinking "has bungie thought of how big halo could get?" look at the games currently on offer and halo still remains in my view the best game on xbox. It was the sole reason i bought an xbox. Now imagine when halo 2 comes out its a hugh success and wins numerous awards, masterchief could become what mario was to nintendo and sonic to sega. A house hold name! Ask your mum/dad/gran/grandad and they will all know who mario or sonic is. Bungie then due to the demand create halo 3. It too is a success. The fans grow! films are released and they are a success (if wrote directed and cast correctly). but then the hype slows. The market becomes saturated.People become tired of hearing bungie that, bungie this. Then bungie are back to square one. They must now create a game, that has to be better than halo ever was, to stop the critics hanging them for the new game becoming a disapointment. The pressure is on. A new game developer creates a new game and it soon becomes popular and overtakes bungies new effort. They lose sales and eventually end up being either sold or liquidated because thier games seem mediocre compared to others. i know this may seem like a fans rant. Youd be right. Yes i dont know about the games industry but..........everyday i go into a games outlet and see the shelves of nintendo products dwindle. Even though they still have alot to offer. X box have to make sure this does not happen to them, and there lies the key. Its bungie. We all know the vast majority of games produced by microsft are rubbish (microsoft game studios) eg brute force. They should provide bungie the opportunity to create the majority of games for the console. Could you imagine nearly everygame having the detail,depth,imagination and ground breaking play like halo has and halo 2 will. The quality of games made will cause xbox to be THE gaming console. Bungie would have to expand like no other games developer ever has. Employing millions of staff but keeping the level of games very high. A hugh task. MIcrosoft would get a games developer developing games which are essential to all fans and are exclusive to microsoft which means more xboxs being sold and more money. Bungie becomes hugh due to microsofts investment, and is allowed to produce games without having a budget, they move into other games catorgorys: rpg, shootem up etc etc. Something that big can never fall. Wouldnt that wipe the smirk of sonys face! What do you think?
