Every now and then we have the good manners to introduce you to new team members. This is one of those rare occasions, and it's an intern! We rarely have interns and when we do, they tend to have radical skillz. Jon Cable is no exception, joining us from the University of Michigan to get his stripes, or at least first blood, as an engineering intern. He's not old enough to drink booze, so we were gentle with him.

Jon is TEH AWESOME!!1!!1

haha am i allowed to be jealous? i want to obviously grow up and work for you guys BUT the whole fact that im 14 limits that option at the moment and i need to learn how to program games first :)... too bad school and actually playing halo 2 take up most of my time. (Fixed grammar, JeeZ... it seems as if english class has not been paying off after all.) [Edited on 5/18/2006]

Oh wow I've never seen an update that happened 15 minutes ago. Anyways, are you guys keeping a security guard next to him making sure he doesn't find out info on Halo 3? EDIT: Muahaha I programmed my first game when i was 9-10ish (too bad it never got finished) [Edited on 5/18/2006]

well thats a pretty sweet internship. It's day like these that make me wish that I wasn't in school for biochemistry, as my internship had me assisting in clinical research by swabbing armpits, although I am sure Jon will get to swab his fair share of armpits while at bungie. Nice job on the internship man. Doooskey

I bet he feels scared, and alone right now. Don't worry Jon, it'll be okay. After the Forced Tijuana Mama's and the paddle beatings, the pain slowly goes away. At least thats what I Hear... [Edited on 5/18/2006 by Frankie]

GOD DAMN IT! i hate it when people steal my ideas of how to start my programming career. I was supposed to intern at bungie! I ENVY JON... if thats how its spelled, if not, then ha ha ha! screw you!!! not really....good going.

Escape Velocity. The first shareware I ever paid for. w00tness + 5.

I am wondering? Was he born in Michigan, and if so I hope to god not Flint. Please tell me not Flint. I begg of you, I live in Flint and its horrible. I would rather be stuck on a Ring with only half a clip of a rusty Assault Rifle then live here.

Congrats on the position man. Hopefully you can do some programming to rid Halo of these cheaters. We were told some 200 of the WORST cheaters were banded. Maybe that's why I got standbyed from a rank 36 yesterday. Great job fellas. -sunny- [Edited on 5/18/2006]

Kick ass Jon Cable!

Sounds like a good guy.

..but CHEATING heavily outways them when I speak on the forums.. SoRRy. One thing that really nerves me about most of the cheating. Most of these guys are 40+ is one category or another and how do you think they got there. I mean come on guys--it's common sense. I remember when the leaderboards were up and most of the cheaters would get BLACKLISTED not BANNED. Meaning their rank wouldn't now show but they were still able to play MATCHMAKING and ruin everyone elses. Well guess what--it's pretty much the same now. How could there only be 200 some odd people that you say you BANNED? This is ridiculous. One thing you should start doing is have a small group of testers that do nothing but play the game online. They will get cheated---in return they ban any who was involved. EASY. There should be NO MORE SECOND CHANCES. How long has this bs been going on? You guys screwed up--you guys should have fixed it immediately. The game is bad ass. You guys did a wonderful job. But to slip up and allow all of this cheating--you are to blame. Not Us--but we are the ones punished on a daily basis. Do you guys honestly think there is a legit 50 out there? Well of course there is. But WE WILL NEVER KNOW our true talent b/c of cheaters. WE WILL NEVER KNOW what rank we would actually be without cheaters. I see 50s on a daily basis in MATCHMAKING. They cheated some where along the lines and probably still are--but they are still playing. Please just devote a week or two of your upcoming time to solve the issue. Take care of this once and for all. ..and Jon--Roll Tide.. -sunnyliston-

(Or think there emo) I am all for rants, but this is just mean and so offencive. If i was a mod, i might think about deleting this, or asking the poster to edit it. I see your point, and sum (SUM) of it is true. But learn to be nice at posting stuff, and stop being emo. Anyways, Jon seems cool. Hell, he's got my first name :) so he can't be all that bad. Props to Bungie for hiring a Fan, and a modder. Thats what bungie needs, more modders. They make very cool -blam!- with a limited window. Maybe he could work on... say a map editer? :) Welcome To the Bungie Army Jon, good luck. (With the older crew, your gonna need it :P) -Aktins Diet
