Its a demo of the game that they have to prep for download by potentially hundreds of thousands of people the second it goes online. So they need to be as best prepared as possible to insure that the servers don't crash when the lines are suddenly flooded by everyone trying to download the demo at once. As to why specifically it wont be released at midnight, well, who knows. I'm sure that they want the demo to be ready as soon as possible so like the article says, once they are ready to flip the switch and send the Beta online they will. But I doubt that they will do so even one second before they are prepared.

Why late mourning? I know this isn't a full game, but most game releases are at midnight.

The article says late monday morning. Now while I do hope that it releases at midnight, I'm pretty sure that "late" monday morning will be tomorrow close to noon and not tonight at midnight pacific standard time. Just a thought, definitely cant say this for certain. Just looking out for your avoiding precious sleep time. I honestly dont know if i wanna give up my sleep for something that I might not get at midnight[/quote] True that.

That would be great, except I can't download M-rated free content, because marketplace is a moron and thinks I need to be 18 to watch something that's rated for 17+. It's particularly obnoxious since I turn 18 in July.

AWesome, by would would bungie make sprinting a "choosable" ability, No one wants to skip around the whole time. Please make sprint a generic movement, why be a spartan if you need to walk everywhere you go, running is a natural abililty. PLEASE USE THIS ADVICE> since i heard this news my hopes were crushed. i still love you bungie
