I was about 11 or 12 at a friends house. I didn't have an xbox yet so I was really excited every time I went over because I knew we'd play Halo!. The good memories are still there though. You?
EDIT: Don't forget to tell of the first experience or memories!

16. Best time ever.

Warning: Life story inbound. TL;DR version at the bottom. I was around six years old. I played Halo: Combat Evolved a few months after it came out, much to the dismay of my parents. In 2005, five years after the PC version came out, I jumped for the $20 opportunity. After that, Halo 2 was released. I didn't have Xbox Live, so I couldn't play online, but every time we had guests over, I'd help set up the LAN party. 2007, same year as Halo 3, I got into creating custom content for Halo: Custom Edition. I never made anything worthwhile, but it was fun to learn 3D modeling, texturing, and animating. We got Halo 3 a few weeks after release and had a blast with our new consoles and Xbox Live service. Then Halo Wars. Being a PC player, I've had my fingers around a handful of RTS games that kept me entertained for a while. Halo Wars was something else. It was unique. 2009, pre-order for Halo 3: ODST. Best campaign since the first game, in my opinion. 2010, I pre-ordered Halo: Reach. I liked the Beta, I figured I would love the campaign. Not the best campaign, but certainly one to call your own. Now, I wait impatiently for Halo 4, waiting to see if 343 is up to the task of continuing the legacy that I've been alongside for a lifetime. TL;DR Version: I was six when it was released in 2001. That's the first time I've played it, and I've been with the series ever since.

11 when i played Halo Wars. I loved it, but then Halo: Reach came out. I was really jealous cause i wasn't aloud to get "m" games until i was 14 and only SOME games too. Halo Reach kicks Halo 1 2 and possibly 3's butt.

8 years old not long after Halo's release. I played it and INSTANTLY became in love with it. I ended up playing it all night long on my own and it wasn't even my game/ console. I was at my parents friend's party. It's always been my favourite game since and the amount of time I've put into it is insane.

9 or 10
-
Seven or Eight. The first thing I saw was my brother and his friend playing on Battle Creek. Then they set my twin and I up on The Keyes and left the room. Aaaand I've been hooked ever since.
-
Also I played against my dad and sister on halo 1 trying to find a challenge but to no avail, alas my rockets were to strong...
-
I was 10 I was freaking freaked out on the first level with the flood "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!!!". I didn't play it for like 6 months until I worked up the courage with my cousins sitting around watching me lol. They kept popping up out of nowhere and raping me. I really didn't like that, also it was a really dark level, there were red dots everywhere on my radar and my friends kept dieing leaving me all alone. When halo 2 came out I beat it the first night it came out in 5 hours I remember sitting there at 5 in the morning thinking "really??" "That's it?" [Edited on 01.29.2012 6:47 PM PST]

I know that I was 4. My dad's friend's son brought over the game, and me, being a girl, didn't know what to think of it. My dad was talking to his friend about the game and idk what happened next, but we ended up keeping the game. I was playing with my little brother until Halo 2 came out. I had a LOT of good memories being scared out of my mind when we play on The Library and have to hold our position while fighting "endless" flood. Great, OP! Now you have me swimming in my memories! Someone help me out so I can play some Halo Reach?
Posted by: The Wow Moment I was about 11 or 12 at a friends house.
Same, it was in like fifth grade I think. Let's see, Halo came out in 2001...so the game would have been about a year old at the time. It was my friend and I versus his older brothers on Sidewinder.
-
I was 5 and I waatched my dad play through the whole campain not understanding a thing except that guns kill people. (no @$%£ sherlock i know think to myself)
-
I went to my friends and I was 7. Halo 2 scarab mission.
-
Yeah I was 10 back then when it first came out. First day it was out I knew I would be sucked into it until it's dying day and then after.
-
I think I played it back in 7th grade (around '05). I remember my stepdad buying an Xbox, and never using it. So I bought Halo and KOTOR, and introduced myself to good gaming. (All I had at the time was a GameCube, and barring Zelda and Metroid Prime, I didn't have many good games to play) [Edited on 01.14.2012 12:07 PM PST]

i was 10 and played 4 player custom games on Halo CE for about 4 hours a day with my friends.
-
perhaps too young lol
-
I was eight, played it at my uncle's/grandma's house. I was convinced it was the greatest thing ever, even though I barely knew how to play it.
-
I don't remember, but I know I had a great time.
-
I was 6 when I first played. My father got it as a gift when it was released, and I sort of took over the xbox after that.
-
I was 13 I did not know of halo until recently;(
-
I was 8 years old, and I had never played an M rated game before. So, what does my friend do? He puts it on The Maw, Legendary, gives me a pistol and a shotgun and tells me to sit in a corner and kill anything that moves while he goes and grenades the objectives. I had nightmares for a week. I went back after that week and beat the whole game, co-op, on legendary, in one sitting, so I apparently liked it more than I thought I did.
-
i was 5, 6, or 7 probably in 2003 at my dads house and was looking through his countless original xbox games to play because i got bored of all the others, and i put in the Halo CE and got into that and halo 2 later with my sister and cousin. still playing halo and it remains my favorite game series of all time
-
The first time I saw Halo was when I was around six years old. I was visiting my moms, friend's house, where her sons were playing Halo: CE Splitscreen. I was blown away, by explosions, by gunfire, and aliens. The first time I played Halo was around nine or ten years old, experiencing the Halo 2 campaign. Mas what a blast.
-
I was probably 8 at the time when I played it. Living in Alaska on an Army base, you didn't hear about as many of the new games and everything came out a few months later. It was in 2003, and I was at a friend's house in his messy basement when I first played. I was shocked at the graphics and still have memories of the screaming grunts and electricity looking thing on the elite's armor when you shot them. I remember putting the difficulty on legendary and dying over and over. Those were the days... we would play splitscreen on blood gulch almost every day, we would also play Halo 2 when it came out, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire.
