Alright... You heard it here first.
Im going to China on a missions trip with my church next summer. We're going openly as a christian group. So if you hear on the news about a group of people arrested by the Chinese government... find a list, and if there's a "Ben Cronin" on that list, you'll all know I'm famous!

Honestly, China isn't so bad if you're just your Average Jo over their touring, or doing buisness. Coming up on 4 years ago in a quick few months, I went over to China with Mumsy because the company she works for had the demand for their product skyrocket, so they had to outsource the sewing and stiching to China (I know, I know --- shame on us. Those are AMERICAN jobs! Yeah well, no one would do them). When we went their all it really is is strict inspection coming in and going out. You can take pictures of whatever you'd like really. It certainly is no North Korea. But seeings as Mum went on business, and I was just a wee little 14 year old tag-along... we weren't much of anything, so I wouldn't know how they'd deal with you trying to spread the teachings of peace, prosperity and love --- who knows. Are you heading to the rural towns or the industrialized cities? We headed to the city, and really it wasn't much different then here. Alot of people spoke English as they were businessmen. The towns might be tricky, language-wise, though I wouldn't know for sure. Anyways, have a wild time. Just don't fly your spy plane in Chinese air space then crash it into a MIG fighter jet.
