Fiurha and Halifax jogged quietly down a deserted alleyway. Halifax had told her that they would attack the assailents from within their headquarters. Fiurha liked the thought of infiltrating an enemy base, but she didn't like the skin-tight uniform that she and Halifax were wearing. "Oh, cheer up, we look great!" Halifax said, "er, although mine does ride up a bit." They had stopped in front of a grubby looking garage, "Time for the cool spy equipment" Halifax said. "Dad, this is serious!" Fiurha spat back. Halifax opened a suitcase and pulled out what looked like gauntlets, "Ah, the shield generator gloves, red button for energy shield, blue button for invisibility," he said, with a smile, "rare equipment, you know, plus side of being a king!" Fiurha smiled at his joke, "If you attack, make sure you turn on your energy shield." Halifax said, now gravely serious. "You are my only daughter, the only left of the Halifax family, do you understand?" Fiurha nodded. "Good." and with that, Halifax turned on his invisibility shield, Fiurha did the same and could see halifax, only with a bluish haze around him. "Ah, yes Fiurha, should your shield fail, I shall be the first to know of it." The garage door opened and an apparently drugged adrodicii hobbled out and vomited on a nearby pile of garbage. Halifax and Fiurha took this oppurtunity to sneak into the garage. Halifax gave her the "You lead" signal, and Fiurha crept further into the building. The garage interior was relatively small in camparison to what Fiurha was expecting. virtually impossible to hurt them with gunfire, plus the added protection of their shields. She saw a room about the size of an office, she snuck up to the door and heard that someone was in there already. "What am I going to do with you Krtiz?" a voice said, "I am starting to think that you have become...soft" apparently, this "Kritz" fellow wasn't a bloodthirsty goon that this fellow desired. "Soft? I ain't soft." Kritz responded nervously. "Really?" the voice said, slightly amused, "then I don't suppose you can tell me why Mr. Legendary SANTA is still alive?" "H-his gaurds.." Kritz started, "I don't give a damn about his gaurds!" the voice bellowed. Fiurha heard a heavy smack from inside the room. "Give me a chance gnome, please!" she heard Kritz sob. "Get out of my office." she heard gnome say coldly. She saw Kritz leave the office. "Follow him." she heard gnome say, and two gaurds came out the door, leaving it open. Fiurha and Halifax crept into the room and saw a single gaurd standing across a desk and gnome sitting in a chair, smoking a cigar. The gaurd said, "So boss, what's gonna happen to Kritz?" "Use your imagination." gnome replied. He turned around in his chair to look at the giant painting behind him, "Tony, I want to tell you something, friend to friend." "Yeah, boss?" tony replied. "If I were to, say, bite the dust, " gnome started, "someone would have to inherit my joint here, you, tony I want you to inheri my great empire when I die, what do you think? Tony?...Tony? What?" He spun around in his chair and saw a blade sticking out of tony's chest.
