What's the craziest thing that's happened in your area?
As for me, well, I'll put it this way. You know your neighborhood is going downhill when you see a bomb squad drive by with the sirens and lights going.
A few months ago, I heard sirens outside my house. I looked outside to see a few fire trucks drive by. I ignored it until several more emergency vehicles drove by. Then, I looked outside again just in time to see a bomb squad truck speed by. Now, it's common to see emergency vehicles rushing around where I live, since I live in a rough area. But the bomb squad? I thought "Oh god..." and went to check it out.
When I got there, they'd blocked off an area about a one-block radius around the suspected bomb. Then I saw a large bus drive up. They parked the large bus and unloaded one of those bomb squad robots. And, of course, there was a crowd, including some of my friends. By this time, the local media was showing up as well. Then I saw an FBI truck drive up. That's when I knew it was serious.
Later that night, I was watching the news and the mentioned the bomb squad thing. Apparently, some guy had sold his house. The realator was looking through the house when he found a locked crate in the garage. So he called in a blacksmith, who opened the crate. Then they found two pipe bombs in the crate. At this time, they called in the police. I also heard that the guy who lived there was a child molestor. No, it wasn't Michael Jackson.
