Weekly What's Update
A long one this week, but really we're just catching you up on where we are, what I'm thinking and some really good news about modding, cheating and so on.

You still lose experience becuase its counted as a game loss even if you do quit as soon as you see his GT. also, why do people always ask questions here Frankie never answers them.

OK, 2 questions. when u look at games played. the games where i got modded show up in the dark color. do those games count against my record? And why do some show up diffrent? Second i heard that if u know that ur playing a modder on the other team by his name, if u shut ur box off as soon as u see his gamer tag befor the game starts, do u lose expierience?

before you delete this bungie give me a chance i've been with you since marathon, this is only my opinion: i am so sick of bungie jumping onto the family values bandwagon, this isn't some goofy disney game where people go and pick up apples. this is halo, a game rated mature for gamers over the age of 18. now bungie is trying to tell the people it charges to play the one good game for xbox that we have to all act like mormons. I own all three consoles, and i have been playing bungie games since marathon and abuse LAN parties. this company sold out, and people still stayed with them. it is ludicrous to start trying to exert total control over games. you guys already decide which MAP, GAMETYPE, and # OF PLAYERS goes into a game, why not make a matchmaking system like unreal, where games have n o set number of players but players can join and rejoin and are ranked on talent, or like warcraft 3 where you can thumbs up or thumbs down a map, do that instead of forcing people to use weapons that you like (BATTLE RIFLE) and changing the game every two months to make it more Christian and ethical even though it involves killing people and a lot of the time they twitch when they die

dude the best thing i can tell u is to get a group of people together that u know and u can some what trust and just try and get them to listen. i have the same peoblem but now i wont go into big tem battle w\ out this certian group of about 7 player who will listen to eachother. if u want u can join us. my gammer tag is russian c unit. so l8er.

So I have a question about banning accts. I hate cheaters as much as the next guy, but what if you ban someone and they just go out and get a new acct? Do you go by the credit card info that you have to put in so to really keep them off of Live? Or is this something that you do for the old acct, and let them get a new acct and just tax them loot to teach them a lesson? I think cheaters should be beaten down and cattle prodded in the junkular region... But thats just me...

you now i was on Elongation and sombody threw a frag grenade on the conveir belt near one of the boxes and instead of greyish- brown smoke it was green and on Zanzibar the defense base for capture the flag there are four rectangualar coulms on each side and the one on the left nearest the gate and if you throw grenade right on that one and it stays there there it explodes with grren gas or smoke or somthing but you know the coulmns i found out out when you get past the concrete there are pipes and that may genarate the green smoke but i'm not so sure about whats in those boxes on Elongation

Hey ok well does anyone share this thought that the halo movie is gunna suck its gunna be a guy running around the whole time shooting i mean cmon how many lines does he have in the game maybe 2 its just gunna be a silent movie with stuff blowing up tho whole time i mena he has no social skills haha maybe it wil be good but i dunno.

I would like to make a couple requests for Halo 3. 1. I would like to see ports of the additional maps included with Halo PC. (Danger Canyon and Timberland Rocked!!!) 2. I would like to see the vehicles go back to not being destroyable. 3. Most Importantly, I would like to see the pistol with scope return instead of the BR. I love the game and give many props to Bungie. Keep up the great work.

One quick question , in reference to cheaters. Would it possible for XBL to ban their credit cards and not just their gammertag. This would ensure total banning from the system. Also solve the problem of multiple gametags per credit card ( that modders use alot). Just a idea that may help out the Halo 2 community. Great update!!! Answered alot of my questions to date. Why is it that when I try to play a game on Live with my cousin who lives about a block away from me, it says We're having network problems right now. Sorry about that. Every time. The only time we've been able to get it to work is if we both join someone else's party. Please, I would like to know what is going on, Frankie. [Edited on 7/18/2005]

What would be a good solution to the modding is that the ones that do it get their X-Box fried. After people find out what is going on the cheating will sooner or later stop. If you agree please respond. Yours truly PCHECKER

I think that the most effective way to stop cheating is by doing this. On the X-Box 360, have a chip that is installed that stops cheating. How, you say? If someone cheats, have the head-honchos at Live send a message to this chip, which is wired with a little explosives. Imagine it. Some one just finished cheating to win a game, and they're all happy...but wait..what's the ticking noise that sounds like a countdown timer...BOOOM...X-Box goes up in flames. No more cheating... On a more realistic note, I congratulate Bungie on an amazing game and say "go get those cheating bastards."

jtr88 ask's I love playin halo2 online with people i met on xbox live but it was the best game to play on live now it has been changed into a hellraising nightmear by cheaters fu@#n cheaters sorry about the swearing but these last couple of weeks have been rediculos.I dont blam bungie for this problem but going into matchmaking is just rediculos -blam!- there is so much cheating is has gotten into the point where ur probly better off playin custom games or switching games like ghost recon 2,unreal championship2,conker live & reloaded ect...........these are all awsome games and know there is so much ppl on my friends list playing the new conker game that i have to delete a bunch of friends to play halo2 or just buy the game and i did. i still play halo2 alot but everytime i go into matchmaking i pray to god its not a modder sry to say it is when you get in the 30's range u will get modded its a fact. i can't amagine what bungie has to go through to try and fix this nonsense because its probly just a pain in the a@# to work at bungie and call ppl and such. i have beaten so many ppl legit that they think im modding cuz i have amazing headshot stats and it's cool to have ppl call u a modder when ur not cuz that means i dont have to cheat to be good but i just get all that stuff said to me buy guys that are 37's on the leaderboards teamslayer and stuff. i got a nick name from these guys a.k.a ''king sniper" please fix halo2 so i can stop swearing and so on. i could be on the leaderboards but its the modders taking my spot. others like compr0miz3,Kudos are amazing at sniping to bad he doesnt play any more cuz of the cheating. please write back to let me know when ur thinking on fixing the modding problem cuz rumors say this monday but hay im just a noob what do i know from xbox live. i've stopped playing matchmaking and whatnot cuz of all this cheating and offensive language and all the crap that goes on with playing the world. i've had my fill of halo and playing with people who arent in it for fun isnt worth my time. i hope after the update most of the riff raff will be weeded out and we all can play a game for fun again. until then, i'll be playing tetris where my only opponent is that wicked gravity. yeah, im kidding. but im stickin to custom games for now. p.s. if i hear another person say "noob" or "own" im going into my attic to play pong and candyland. peace BuN G gamertagular- BossCHINCHILLA

Frankie, This happened twice. My friends and I were playing Splitscreen Slayer on Sanctuary, and 1 person would throw a granade at another person and they would die, but it was counted as a suicide. Is this a glitch or something?
