Why does dial-up still exist?
Ok, get this. While most of you guys out there have the standard DSL/Cable broadband internet, I am stuck out in the middle of butt effin Egypt with crazy slow dial-up. It took the Bungie homepage 5 minutes to load (seriously, I timed it). Wouldn't you be pissed if your internet went that slow?

i feel your pain my internet used to conect at 26.4 kilobytes......26.4! Now im enjoying the fast speeds of dsl.

Thanks, but all the sympathy in the world can't create broadband access for me. Not even DSL is available where I live. Aha! Maybe I should setup up a series of long distance access points from here to the closest dsl CO box (with each access point secretely plugged in to unsuspecting houses) to transfer internet access to my house! Wait, that seems complicated, maybe I should just hire a teradactyl dinosaur to fly all of my internet data back and forth for me (that would be much faster than dial-up). Or I could just go crazy and blow up all of the CO boxes so no one can have DSL [insert evil laugh].

Meh. I have a 512k with a 2gig limit. If I go over that limit, I get put on a 56k. I only have it slightly better then you, my friend. >> Kritz

I've only had DSL for a few months. I feel your pain.
