Bungie Pro Video Bugs Thread

Happy Bungie Day! As part of our numerous gifts to you, the community, Bungie Pro Video has emerged from its beta state and is fully functioning as of today. Bungie Pro, in addition to expanding your fileshare from 6 to 24 slots and 25 to 250 MB, now includes 5 render minutes per month, which will let you render up to 5 minutes of high quality 360p video or 1 minute of high definition 720p video per month. You can check out more info about Bungie Pro, including how to get Pro and how to render videos, on our new Bungie Pro project page. This thread is for you to report any bugs you find with our new service to us so we can take a look at them. To provide some general guidance about reporting bugs, I'd like to recommend a few things that you should do before reporting a bug: 1. Watch your film clip in Halo 3 before you render it. 2. Put the clip in your file share and then choose to render it. 3. Wait at least 2-3x as long as the estimate the site gives you for the rendering time. We try to be fast and to have accurate estimates, but the Hydra is a complicated beast and it is sometimes hard for us to get our estimates right on the money. 4. Watch your video. 5. If you think something is wrong with your video, watch it again in Halo 3 to see if it goes wrong there as well. If so, you should've followed step 1 more closely. ;) 6. Check this post to see if there's a known issue already reported that looks the same as your problem. (I will be updating this post if more issues are discovered.) 7. If you still think there's a legitimate bug with your video or the service, post here and include a detailed description and a link to the file. (e.g. http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=84546622) Known Issues: - It is currently not possible to purchase additional render minutes. The Bungie Pro project page will be updated when it is. The cost for additional render minutes will be 100 Microsoft Points for a pack of 10 render minutes. - Reticles do not show properly when playing back film clips in Halo 3. While the game build which we use has a fix to show reticles in the first person video, reticles still do not show properly when inside of vehicles. Please try to only report legitimate issues with the Bungie Pro Video in this thread. Reducing the spam will help us discover, classify, and fix issues. Thanks again for being the most awesome community in gaming. [Edited on 07.09.2009 11:46 AM PDT]

 • My two minute video here has been 'rendering' for 3 hours now, what gives, usually it takes about 5 minutes! Has the system been halted? Edit: after like 7 hours, it's finally rendered... [Edited on 06.15.2011 2:46 AM PDT]

 • This video has been rendering for more than an hour now. I'm not really sure what's wrong, but I know it shouldn't be taking this long for a 16 second video. Rendered in Standard Definition.

 • this seems to be taking a lot longer to render then usual clips on my file share just wondering if anything gone wrong with it. EDIT: it been rendering for about 45 minutes now so I'm sure something is wrong with it now. Never mind now it's been fixed :) [Edited on 06.14.2011 5:31 AM PDT]

 • Seems to be a lot of issues with this, but I've got some audio sync problems in this video that I rendered. Is it fixable? About 3/4 of the way through the video until the end the sound does not quite match the video. [Edited on 06.13.2011 4:37 PM PDT]

 • You know it would be kind of nice if I could have my $5 back since I have posted time and time again. Nobody has been any sort of help to me in anyway. This has been the worst customer service I have received in years. Please give me my cash back.

 •
Posted by: BunglePro That is usually an issue with the silverlight player or your browser (not always, though). It shouldn't be related to your fileshare in any way. Let me know if you see any other oddities, though.
I've made sure my silverlight player is up to date and reinstalled my browser (firefox) but some weird things are still going on. I can watch videos from other players fine, but I still receive the same error message when trying to watch some of mine. The error only seems to affect half of my rendered videos though. A group of two videos I rendered at roughly the same time has one working but the other not. Before Monday I was able to view all my videos as well. Thanks for help so far in dealing with this issue.

 •
Posted by: Mango Fet Just today I've started getting an error when trying to watch my videos that have already been rendered. A red number counts up from 1 to 4 then the following error message is displayed: Could not open media file /bproreach/18461128.wmvx 3000 An error has occurred. This just happened today so I'm assuming it's some kind of problem for all videos? Just want to make sure there's not something wrong with my file share or something weird like that.
That is usually an issue with the silverlight player or your browser (not always, though). •
Posted by: RobertMcD I have noticed that videos of full games that I download have an audio lag problem and it has been doing it in all the videos I download recently on videos i search for tagged perfection. I think there may be a bug in the rendering process
If you can post links to the affected files, I'll investigate.

 • After starting up the render service again, we have now processed the backlog of renders. Please let us know if you see any issues with renders you queued (failed or otherwise). Thanks for your patience with our service downtime!

 • I tried to render a video earlier this morning.... This is the clip. Initially, it had the moving arrows as a picture. After a while, something weird happened. I checked my fileshare again to see whether the clip was rendered or not, and the moving arrows weren't there anymore; instead, it showed the regular pic for an unrendered video. I checked my order history as well, and the status of the clip says "currently rendering film". So, the clip is being rendered but somehow I got my minutes back...I payed 3 minutes for the clip, I had 1 minute left. Now, I suddenly have 4 minutes again.

 •
Posted by: irie II
Posted by: PoserGalore I just rendered a 4:29 standard long video, and my question is how long does the video renders, and its been rendering for almost 12hrs, all i see is the spinning arrow. any answers are welcome thanks, and am new to this so am pretty much desperate for help.
Same thing here. Renders normally take less than a half hour, but we are doing some maintenance on our servers and we had to temporarily stop renders. It should be back up later today. I apologize for the delay in your render.

 • Hey there! I just purchased bungie pro. It downloaded, and has given me access to additional storage slots. However I ONLY bought bungie pro for the render minutes/ability to render vids. I have a video saved to my xbox from reach theater. When I try to view it online, I can select the video, but when I try to play I get a message saying I need to upgrade to bungie pro. When I go to double check on my xbox I am completely unable to re-download it because I already have it. This is extremely frustrating. Any thoughts?

 •
Posted by: RC Master The audio in this video starts off fine, then gradually gets more and more de-synced as the run continues. This is particularly distressing on two counts: 1. The runner has submitted this to HSH and messed up audio really dampens the watching experience. 2. Its in HD and so 45 render minutes have been spent on it!
