Credit Resets
Good afternoon,
We have performed what we hope to be our last round of Credit Resets for accounts using the Challenge Reset exploit.
From this point on, we expect our automatic system to promptly suspend accounts which use this exploit, minimizing the ill-gotten gain to a degree that we do not feel that we need to apply a reset on top of this.
Note that our automated system will not be performing resets. That is a responsibility that we prefer to keep in the hands of living beings.
[b]Regarding Disputes[/b]
A "Double or Nothing" dispute thread will be created if it proves necessary and investigation time is available. However, we are once again using the same criteria as our last two resets, and investigations following those did not uncover a single false positive (just a lot of "little brothers".)
As such, we have a very high degree of confidence that these resets were correctly targeted, and our investigation effort will be reduced this time through.
[b]FAQ[/b]
No, we did not and are not going to ban anyone for "farming" any of the following:
- Gruntpocalypse (or Score Attack in general)
- Target Locators
- Demon/Flawless Cowboy
- "Full Party" Boosting
No, isolated cases of network disconnects will not have caused you to be reset.
No, you are not going to be reset in the future because your internet connection occasionally drops.
No, we cannot undo a reset because a hacker/little brother/malevolent alternate personality actually did the boosting, much to your dismay.
No, we cannot reset your Commendations as well.
And sorry, but no, we cannot speak to topics unrelated to Credit Resets within this thread.

I have not really requested an investigation officially, but seeing as some people got reinstated i guess i will now too. First of all i must admit that i have exhibited some afk behavior before, last that i can see in my history was a little over 3 weeks ago. I know now that it is an offensive act towards other players and thats why i stopped doing it. I really don't like firefight too much in the first place, don't get me wrong it's nice every once in a while and for daily challenges as well, but seeing as it's a minimal fraction of what i mostly do i think that backs it up. Also i would have to say that even though i have afk'd at one point, i would not call myself a habitual afk'er. You see some people get up to ridiculous ranks like forerunner or something by only afk-ing and no-life-ing it up to that point, I was a colonel grade 3, and that is definitely not as high. After all that said i do believe for what i have done i do deserve the credit ban, but i do wish to see my rank reinstated, i was very close to brigadier. I have not been banned before so as a first offense i see a credit ban fit, but not a reset. I look forward to it and thank you for your time and effort. P.S. - Also i believe the worst of it, which i can say is all i have done is on page 3 of my game history. *Edit-- Just out of my own curiosity, i counted out of my 119 FF games i have purposely afked about 25 starting from 3 months ago and intermittently until a month ago. I realize the bad in afk-ing now and then i didn't really think about it too much, i just did it a few times when i got bored and decided to surf the web or something. The stopped because i found it boring because i actually wanted to play, not even firefight at that, it's honestly my least favorite gametype and i only enjoy it for the occasional custom or for daily challenges. Still hope to get un-reset, though the ban i can wait out. I don't mind getting banned for my previous behavior because i know it was wrong. The only problem i have with this and my reason for posting is for being reset and put in the category of habitual afkers which i'm not and can prove it. Still waiting.
