• Nice man, congrats. At least we will all know that we are ready for firefight. lol. When ODST comes out we should get a bunch of the conquerors together and try firefight out, see how far we get.

 • Nope, I'm on the list at spot # 28 (though, I should be 29, Archer beat me to it).

 •
Posted by: ChrisM TA You need to practice it a bunch of times. Just go into the game on legendary, all skulls (except Iron) starting from Rally point Bravo. Just go through that about 5 times and you should be ready to take it on when you get to it legitimately. it sure as heck helped me.
I'm not really going to worry about it; I beat the mission and that's good enough for me.

 •
Posted by: General Khazard
Posted by: ChrisM TA
Posted by: General Khazard
Posted by: ChrisM TA
Posted by: Rambo93 I've already given up on the contest but I'm going to try and beat this level to get on the list. Can anyone give me some tips on killing the scarab and that area in general? That seems to be my stopping point. Also why do you need the carbine?
Well, the best way to beat the scarab (and safest) is to go on the rock that is mentioned in 1.0 and kind of sit there. If you wait, the scarab will eventually start turning around (Just like in the Storm) and you can shoot at the back and eventually kill it all from the safety of your tank. I have found that shooting the legs and then trying to jump onto it is much more risky. I died twice doing that. Once, as I was jumping, the top part of the scarab shot me in mid air, and the second time, I killed the scarab, jumped off, and then a vehicle killed me. Also, the Brute chieftain with the fuel rod gun was easiest to kill by shooting him with the plasma pistol and then assassinating him. Trust me, you are going to need that ammo for the rest of the mission. And nothing will make you madder than if you run out of BR ammo.
FRC Cheiftain? Just take him out with the tank before you even move up... Unless you mean the Plasma Cannon Chieftain after the map room, in which case even if you run out of BR ammo, there's a crate with Carbines in the area where you fight the hammer chieftain and his jetpack cronies.
Well I am talking about the plasma cannon brute chieftain. The best way to kill him is to move up behind the pillar closest to him (Pillar in the middle, not the side pillars) and then peak out, shoot him with the plasma pistol, and then assassinate him. The best way to kill the final brute chieftain is to use Tyrant's glitched version of the ending, assassinate the chieftain (he wont attack you) and then stock pile the weapons. In that area, there won't be any jump jet brutes until you leave and come back. So take this time to grab the 2 carbines, and all of the plasma rifles you can find and bring it over to the entrance. Then go through the door, and grab the 2 plasma pistols that the jackal's dropped. Those weapon's should be enough to kill all of the jet pack brutes when you return.
I could never get the plasma-stun assassination down for that one. Every time he would just gun me down point-blank.
You need to practice it a bunch of times. Just go into the game on legendary, all skulls (except Iron) starting from Rally point Bravo. • And I am DONE!!!! Finally! Completed Crow's Nest just a few hours ago. I want to thank Tyrant for all of his walkthroughs and also want to thank him for getting me interested in completing the campaign SLASO. I never would have done it if this competition hadn't of brought it to my attention. Thanks again!

 • That's the spirit! I mix-and-matched strategies too, and even created my own for a couple areas. Ultimately, it's all about what works best for you and your playing style.

 • Yeah, I mean completing this actually gives you a feeling of accomplishment. You have to have a ton of patients and skill to beat it. To be honest, trying to beat the campaign has been the most fun I have had in campaign so far. The skulls completely change the way you play the game and it makes it so much more fun. I did use some of Tyrant's walkthroughs, but I never followed any of them to the letter. I would usually combine 3 methods: Kamikaze, Tyrant's walkthroughs, and my own ideas. I am GOING to finish Crow's Nest.

 •
Posted by: ChrisM TA
Posted by: General Khazard Actually, you're almost 24 hours late man. The deadline was Thursday night at MIDNIGHT, which is when it becomes friday. Sorry, man. Maybe Tyrant will be kind since you misunderstood, but I wouldn't count on it; he's been pretty strict with deadlines so far.
Dang, I thought that It was Friday at midnight... Oh well, I really wasn't doing all this for the recon anyway, I am doing it for the chance to be one of the few that have actually done it. I mean if you look at it, completing the campaign SLASO is more rare than recon. Lol, and you actually have to WORK for it. I only have to finish Crow's Nest and I will be done.
Actually, you know what? You're right. I do feel special now even though I have yet to get recon. :)

If you need help with Crow's Nest, feel free to send me a message, or you can DL a couple peoples' videos of it from their fileshares. The important thing, though, is to BELIVE!

 • Okay, I just submitted my "Ark" run. (WOOHOO!!!) I was wondering if time has run out to send it in. Tyrant said Friday was the deadline, but never says what time. It is 11:38 Central time right now. I hope so because I finally just finished it. It took me all week and I hope it is not eligible because it is an hour late or something
