Matchmaking Update!
Tomorrow, Wednesday May 4th, we'll be updating the matchmaking playlists to inlcude the new maps, and resetting stats to even the playing field. Read on to find out more details about what to expect.

bungie youve made more enemies than friends by listening to kids who shouldnt own the game because their too young. all we needed was the major forms of cheating gone, but no these punk kids with no skill cry because they cant combo well rnough to kill and got wrecked on all the levels with this combo on it. so of course now after the update we still have cheating but those damn kids witht htere lack of true halo skills got what they wanted a worse halo

Im loving the new update, but i wish there was something in there that could let you choose if you want to play with someone before the game begins... everytime i play 2v2 i keep getting stuck with a complete noob on my team, meanwhile the other team is owning us... my noob quits and im left to make a stand off wih these guys even though im going to get absolutely owned because quitting is cheating now! And yeah i promised not to play matchmaking for a few days until the levels evened out but i couldnt wait any longer... just as i expected, i got owned by these freakazoid mutated super level 1s... But there were however a lot of super noobs too so it wasnt all bad. There should be a leap in leveling up from level 1 for the really good players so we can get them out of the way and allow the ranks to steady out and provide more balanced games! i was in matchmaking and a LVL2 got like 20sum awards and 25 kills whilst everyone else was lucky to have 1 or 2 awards and maybe 9 or 10 kills. Good times though, Good times...

Well I like the upgade except for one thing.......every match i play now is eather a sniper matchor a battle rifle match.Just when I thought rumble pit could not be any more unfare lets cater to the lowest form of life in hala..the sniper.While others are running for thier lives and using real skill to win the day the sniper acts like a vulture picking off other peoples kills while staying as fare away from the real action as possible.Fish in a barrel real fun hu! Being a in your face aggreser as I am I find it insolting to find u cater to these cowerds, But thats just 1 mans opinon.Did I Mention I hate snipers more than anything else an earth. thanks 4 hearen me skwak S.H. P.S. How about a few less sniper realted setups...please!

HUGE GLITCH, I can deal with the crappy fact that the BRs SUCK but what really gets under my skin is the new re-spawning system!!!!! Every single time I respawn RIGHT in from of a snipers scope ( It happened 3 times in a row, I didn't get one second to move ) Being respawned in the middle of a battle fight, or right in the middle of a group of the other team! Theres no way u candefend your self! Please fix. It never seemed to be with way before,

Double Team is Fun But i got owned on foundation because the other team had both rocket launchers and both battle rifles. We couldent do any thing, we couldent even get near them. With some more tweaking of the playlists it might someday become perfictly balanced.Oh well I still Had some fun Getting Owned!

I like the new 2 vs 2 i like the new maps... i just want to play in the new maps... I thin the weapon tweaking is all wrong though.. i like the all Human Weapons i just dont like that for some reason the shotgun seems a hell of a lot weaker and the battle rifle seam more like a gatlin gun.. that a 2vs2 on beaver creek if you spawn in the open you cnat make it into cover without the battle rifle takin you down.. and i cant count the number of times i had my shotgun not get me a kill that 2 weeks ago i would have gottne i would ratehr play with an empty smg bc i know if i can get a good two swats on the guy ill beat him down.. NEW GAMES AND MAPS :) WEA{PONS CHANGES :( :( :(

well i played a few games last night, was tired and playing like pooh, but the changes seemed cool. Is it me or did they adjust the grenade throwing while dieing. because when i used to play and was dieing and about to throw a grenade it just wouldnt happen but i stuck quite a few people as i was falling Dieing (much to theyre disgust. As for the stat reset all i have to say about that is- Thank you Bungie for showing me just how much of a second rate player i really am........

Suddendeath removed on bomb is good, but bungie c'mon... We armed the bomb, the guy said:"Bomb armed!, Bomb planted, Round over..." Our score wasn't counted.... C'mon bungie dont u think this is slightly dumb.... Couldn't u just make it so if you are in the circle it keeps sudden death???

i think all of this modifing that you are doing is great but i would like to see the rod fuel cannon in some future update i really liked that weapon in the campaign and i think it would create a new challenge for people.

I like the changes... except for the BR crap but I'll get used to it. Anyway.. I wanted my stats to be reset again. oh yes, btw... I LOVE TEAM SNIPERS!!

I agree 130%.. I played Halo because it was FUN.. Now it's all about BRs... It's quite stupid, Wanna call me a noob for wanting to have a good battle fight instead of just sniping? Go ahead. GET RID OF THE BRs It's stupid. I can't stand playing anymore, It's not fun.

i think that the update is cool except the part where reset the stat i turned level 15 yesterday u mutha phokus i like the br upgrade it used to be a piece of doodoo but now its cool. 1337 h4x0r 4 life!!!!

Yeah, thanks for resetting stats. But I gotta know when are you guys gonna stop resetting them. Cause after about 2hrs of double team and getting up to an 11 I won a game and went back to a 1 wtf?

I'm not entirely thrilled with the new gametypes either. Big team on Coag used to be merely low scoring. Now, its a total stalemate. Freshly respawned opponents have gone from mostly harmless to teleporting flanking fire. When I heard that the matchmaking playlists would be updated, I thought it would simply be to include the new maps, not some alphabet soup of game types. 2F CTF SP BR? What's next, CTF LOL and CTF :D?

Yo people we have 2 set up a clan of only tight people instead of noobs adn since the clans have all restarted we can beat those other kick ass clans like CHECK 6 so if ur up 4 it send friend request to Magic Ninja123

Reseting stats was a good idea. Players need to be patient and the gaps will show between skill levels, it just takes time for leveling to take place. Battle Rifles on larger maps may sound like a good idea, but in reality it removes alot of varierty. before the battle rifle was a weapon you'd seek out to give you an upper hand in some situations, now its impossible to use short ranged weapons if that is the players preference. i'm sure you have been in a Skirmish or big team game where your team has, at one time or another, been confined to the edge of your base's back walls on Coagulation, being sniped and splattered when you spawn. Now you'll also get a barrage of Battle Rifle rounds in your general direction. yes you can shoot back, but the odds will be against you. All I can say is that i hope the Bungie banhammer keeps smacking the persistant standby cheaters and other glitchers. Overall a good update, cheers!

What the hell, it takes little skill to use that combo, aside from the fact that you have to aim at the head when using that "noob" combo, "Noob" combos are for noobs, and besides, it takes real skill to kill someone with just a battle rife. Thanks Bungie for removing the noob combo.

This bull-blam!- of giving everyone battle rifles is so stupid. Whats the point? Now sniper rifles are totally useless. A simple correction to the problem of teams dominating snipers would have been to have them respawn and respawn faster. I'd rather have to try to get a sniper rifle from 4 people then just 1 or 2 and the rest with battle rifles. Now their entire team is now as deadly if not more leathal then a team of 4 snipers. Now no matter what level your at all people seem to use for weapons are, BATTLERIFLE, ROCKETLAUNCHER, and the SWORD. I was impressed by Bungie's corrections to handle cheaters and people who use standby but thtis new correction was overboard. Dual-weilding is no longer worth it if your being shot by 2 or more people from across the level with battle rifles. I'm a proud sniper and im sure there are many others like me that feel the same way that the sniper is now a lost art of halo and I personally am sad to see it go. Bungie you completely missed the target and overkilled a problem and I for one saw as minor.
